Official January Sat 2 Math Level 2 Discussion Board

OK what was up with that one problem which asked what relation is equivalent to x=y?

A. x^2=y^2
B. x^3=y^3
C. abs(x)=abs(y)
D. I forgot this choice but it's definitely not right.
E. I forgot this choice but it's definitely nor tight.

After a lot of thinking, I put A as my answer but I'm simply not confident. Also, does anyone know if you can get -7 RAW on this test and still pull off an 800???

I chose x^3 = y^3 and I'm 95% sure that's correct

i wrote x^3 = y^3 cos there is no ambiguity as to the sign. A could hav + or -

i'll wait till 12:00 central time,

i skipped 4 and im sure i got rest right unless i made mistakes,

if i miss within 2, i think ill get 800

That was such a lame question. If x=y how the **** are A through C NOT right? Grr

deity, it did not say if x = y then which of the following is also true. It said which of the following statements being true will also make x = y true

Mother**...misread the question. I thought it said "if x=y..." and I was like *?! A B and C are correct :( 4 omit +3 wrong = bye bye 800.

could someone tell me the answer to the triangle question ... isosceles with base 25 and vertex angle 50; perimeter = ? ...

also the perimeter of the triangle inside the cube.... i think i left 3/4 and got 4/5 wrong !!!!.... can anyone give me an estimate of my score.... first time taking.. thanx

Ugh.. that test was bloody long. I finished the official practice test with 20 minutes left over, and with this I didn't have time to do 3. So as of now: 3 Omit, 0 Wrong

what did you guys get for the standard deviation problem and the problem where you had to find the distance between the origin and the closest point to the origin on the circle???

Radius from origin to circle was 9.

the standard deviation was the same and the range was the same

nice... .

i omitted two, but realized i shouldn't have right when the proctor was declaring pencils.

If i don't get an 800, it'll be because of the stupid questions that i didn't guess on. ugh.

does anyone have the score conversion chart? I think i may have gotten a 46. What would that be? o_o

also, how generous are the curves?

I got ! and III for the standard deviation problem because I am pretty sure both the set of numbers had the same range and standard deviation.

I skipped 4 and may have gotten up to 5 wrong(worst case scenario). S, at least a750 I hope yeesh...

I got 8.12 or something for the cube problem. 100% sure that's right!!!:)

Isn't the scale usually...

800 790
800 780
800 770
800 760
800 750
800 740
800 730
800 720

i got 8.5 for the circle to origin distance problem
and 4 is the minimum number you have to draw to guarantee a matching glove

yea, i think with 43 you can get 800

I did really badt.t
I think my raw score will be 42-43.
what the actual score will be?
Should I cancle and retake it?
(I'm vexed that I couldn't even read last three!!t.t;;)

The circle distance was 9.
