Thanks joejoejim. I do need to edit my post, though. I got deferred, not rejected. Nevertheless, I was still super bummed out.

Hopkins ED seems as unpredictable as ever. I imagine the pool is incredible however. Congrats to those who got in.

I thought I had an idea of who would be accepted…which is why I thought I wouldn’t be.

Good luck to everyone accepted, rejected, and deferred. You’re all brilliant.

General Comments: I’m very happy with the JHU admissions board right now!

congrats alexc91. I definitely think my personality and sat score got me in too, because I had minimal community service and extracurriculars, but a stellar essay. What is your intended major?

Your post made me realized I posted a mistake on mine, I said 12th percentile, but I meant top 12%…so 88th percentile.

I´m not in the bottom 12%…

i intend to major in poli sci…my main hurdle to clear was not having a laundry list of ec’s. i had a nice amount of volunteering hours, but i was only involved in a couple “traditional” school-related ec’s (quiz bowl, school paper). heck, i’m not eve in nhs!

writing is my strong suit, so i included an article i wrote for the school paper, and my essays were good too.
