Official jume 2012 SAT discussion (US)

For the dual-essay part of critical reading, the army of people who say that college is for developing socially… are they pedantic or diffident?

Was the lady standing in the way of the cot being moved adamant or impassive?

EDit: Darn, she was adamant… I was so close to putting that.

I blanked after messing up the timing on the first section. Really bad.
I found the vocab easy and Writing easy. However my passage comprehension and math reasoning went OUT the door.

@wharton Same with me! Hopefully we scored well  Btw does anyone remember the answer to #9 in the last writing section? I made a bubbling error (I forgot to answer question 9) and I had about 10 seconds to read the question and answer it. I put D in the end, don’t know if it was right or not.

do you remember a portion of question 9 by any chance?

I concur that the answer to the triangle problem was 30 sqrt(2).

As for the g(4x) problem, I thought the answer was k = 10. If not, I read the problem/answers wrong. :(

Yea it was E for post 12. Improving and beneficial is redundant

I put snide for the army one.

For the math one with how many points fit inside the triangle…was it four?

Was the writing that hard? I found it to be quite straightfoward… or is it just me…

was Big Neeha, the great aunt, being a bully?

LAdy was adamant.
I thought the army was snide, or something like that- I couldn’t decide between that and pedantic, but I ended up thinking that he sort of insulted them, so it was more on the snide side.

We’re there really 2 writing sections with 35 q’s, or was one experimental? What did everyone get for the last 2 of one of the 35ers? I thought “in part” was wrong, and the other one needed a comma, but I’m pretty unsure about those 2

Sorry about grammar, iphone

@Overide I got the same answer as you - 10

@bluedevils yes she was being a bully, this was demonstrated in the fact that she pushed over the bed.

Anyone know about this:

Doctor preparing something FOR USE IN the experiment? No error? Section 3…

What was the answer with 3 different triangles and it asked what does a + b + c +d + e + f =?

I put 360, its probably wrong though.

And the last geometry one was 50pi-96, just find area of circle, divide it by two, and minus that by the area of the triangle(96)

You can find the area of the triangle simply by realizing it was a 3-4-5 triangle with sides multiplied by 4.

But what was the answer to the one asking for a + b + c + d + e + f = ?

360 was correct as a + b + c + d + e +f.

That was 360. The total angle measure had to be 180*3=540 and the.vertical angles added up to 180. So 540-180=360.

I got that the aunt was being a bully. ((haha… Ant Bully… okay ill shut up now)

I don’t know if we all got it in the same order, but I think my experimental section was 8. Had 16 math questions to do in 20 minutes. It was RIDICULOUSLY easy, and I don’t consider myself very good at math. It was like 6th grader math to me lol. At this point I can’t remember the specific questions… but it was way too easy on the only section I finished. Which makes me sad, because that section might’ve increased my score if it wasn’t experimental T_T

Do any of you remember answers from the illusion in art passage? That one really messed me up… I thought everything was easy, minus one question that I left blank, up until that passage.

I had two writing sections (35 questions too) does anybody know if this was experimental? or which one was?

the texas one was it all I II III ?

i wasn’t sure for the III one,

Experimentals are 25 minutes… section 7 was really that easy i think.

s2eaca: yes, there had to be more than five other states because the remaining production was over 4, and if that table was the LEADING states, there had to be 5 or more because North carolina produced less than 1 whole picture.
