So you're saying you got three b/g's as three of the last four in the science section, right?

I don't know i didn't get to read it

So you're saying you got three b/g's as three of the last four in the science section, right?

Yep.

last question on science was about friction and it asked what happens when friction happens...

and i guessed something along the lines that total mechanical energy decreases, and both KE and GPE change.. although i dont think that is right

While I was taking this recent ACT I had a horrible experience. During the half of the math and all of the reading, there was this incredibly annoying ringing/screeching noise coming from some vent in our testing room. It was so difficult to concentrate (especially since it was during reading!) and I was really upset by the whole thing. After about an hour, they finally decided to move our group to a different area. I truly think that this had a negative effect on my score. Is there anything that can be done about this?

the answer to the last question was that it decreases because KE changes but GPE doesnt. I think it was D or E

during our essay the fire alarm went off, it was a false alarm, but they couldnt figure out how to shut it off for a good 5 min and we just had to write through it.

This was like having a fire alarm go off for over an hour though, during the reading and math.

No the friction stays the same the whole time, because...
the coefficient of friction = the force of friction over the normal force(which is the force that pushes up, or the opposite of weight). It has nothing to do with how fast the block is moving. The only resistance that would increase from an increase in speed is the air resistance, which would also decrease with a decrease in speed.

All that though is assuming that the block was pushed directly parallel to the ground and not towards or away from the ground.

this thread is making me feel like shiet. anyone else experiencing this?

I am totally forgetting what I put down for answers so this is just increasing my anxiety.

I had the fire alarm go off for just under the last half of the science test one time and there wasn't anything we could do according to them. They came over the intercom of the school and said, "Please continue NORMAL test-taking procedures, thanks."

I thought if something like that happened, you could contact the ACT company and get a free retest?

i took the test also. I thought reading was ok, math was ok, english was ok, but science i was like ***!!!!! But on all the subjects i did guess. So, i was wondering if you would of guessed, what letter did u mostly pick. And your answer choices, what was it mostly A,B,C,D or E. In the beginning of English like questions 1-25 i had answers that are double. <-----Did anyone get double's in english

Odd, it sounds like half of the people here think the Science was easier than on the April 8th test, and the other half think it was harder (or at least hard, period).

Does anyone remember exactly what the last math problem stated?

something bout a single large square of area 100. All squares are formed by connecting the midpt of each bigger square. It adds to 200

For the english did anyone get open illinois prairie as an answer?

yep, I'm pretty sure I got that...

Yes, it was open Illinois prairie for sure

flat, open Illinois prarie

comma after flat and then no comma...
