Official June 2 2007 SAT II Proctor Thread

Well my proctor did not walk around the room, but she was on time with her timer although one sitting in the back of the room could still cheat by taking another test early.

What about yours?

Hah this is the funniest thread. Anyone could have used a calculator on chem/physics and no one would know the difference for us.

HAHAHA, I agree w/cliche for both comments. (Which kinda ticks me off....I mean, I didn't even THINK of using a calc XD....not that I would obviously....But it kinda bugs me when I don't even realize how many opportunities around me there are for people to cheat; I guess it makes me feel gullible, heheh.)

My proctor was SO nice. I had to go across the border from Canada and we had some problems (not with crossing the border... long story) and I was so late. I got there at like 8:45 and they were almost done the instructions. He still let me in and was really nice about it. Gosh today was too eventful... I was so sure I was gonna miss my test and was bawling my eyes out. I had to write the test tear streaked.

our proctor was TEXTING during testing..
it was SO annoying, the clicking sound of the buttons was bugging me the WHOLE time :(

Wait, just out of curiousity (today was my first SAT) does everyone use those desks were the desk part is attached to the chair, and is really small compared to normal desks?? ahh i was dying cause i coudltn fit my test book and answer book next toeachother..

struggles

I had those desks at my 2 previous tests (Vancouver center). But today we got HUGE desks (Washington center).

i cant stand those desks..they kinda make me feel trapped
our desks were detached, nice n roomy:)

ahh I am never taking it at that place again then!. My desk wobbled back and forth the whole time. I was stressing out. Plus the girl next to me was making the WEIRDEST noises, and I was so sketched out... oh welll

My proctor looked exactly - EXACTLY - like Phillip Seymore Hoffman. And he sounded like Phillip Seymore Hoffman. It was a very out-of-body experience.

Mine was so bad, hahaha. He gave extra time and just seemed like he never did anything like this before.

lol isn't that good for you?

lol my proctor was texting and our clock wasn't set so nobody knew what time it was...

My proctor was a terribly anal old lady... I couldn't look through the bio e and m to decide which I was gonna do, so I had to choose on the spot.
She read through everything and checked EVERY SINGLE DAMN test before and after the tests.... T_T

my proctor didnt know what he was doing. He didnt even bother reading directions and stuff, he just told us to bubble everything

it would have been SIMPLE to cheat, and im assuming some people did. >_>

i ended up with my freshman physics teacher for my proctor-- he's goofy (and has never proctored SATIIs before this...that was fun.)

there was one kid in my testing room who took at least twice as long as everyone else to get through bubbling his name and writing the certification thing, made sure to ask questions about EVERY instruction too, gah...

That sounds annoying as hell, deenierah

our proctor gave us a little less than 59 minutes for the first test

Haha, I took my tests at an all girls school (just for ****s and giggles), but the proctor was INSANE! There were three other guys there and she always flipped out on the guys!

Our proctor gave us less time than an hour...and there was general panic over the chem test and calculator usage that was hilarious.

This girl raised her hand and was like, "Um, we can use our calculators on the chem exam, right? because it's impossible to do it without a calculator."

So there was a rush of activity and I just raised my hand and said, "No, it's possible, and it's the was you take it. No calculators are allowed on the chem."

It's sad that I knew better than the proctors and had to answer for them. =/

PS. Dav, what school did you take it at? I took mine at an all-girls' school too! (my own boarding school, lol)
