Can people please write their subscores, such as rehtorical and usage/mechanics and all the other subscores. It would really b appreciated!

I’m not retaking with a 32, but my writing lowered from a 9 to an 8. I hope that doesn’t hurt me too much.

Also, is a 32 good enough for Umich Ann Arbor, I’m in-state if that helps.

Composite: 34
English: 36 (18/18) (-0)
Math: 35 (18/17/18) (-1)
Reading: 33 (18/16) (-0)
Science: 33 (-2)

35 superscored but I really wanted that in one sitting. Darn Reading curves keep killing me… 1 darn point away from being done with this test forever blehhhh

let’s hope there’s no glitch…i also got straight 36s. no word as to my essay grade yet though
i failed the essay miserably, however; expecting ~8. do you think it would hurt me if my essay grade was say, 8 or less if I got straight 36s on the multiple-choice sections?

I took this at the end of my sophomore year, and I am pleased. Do you all think it’s possible to improve to a 35 composite by the end of my Junior year?

36 Composite. Mission Accomplished :p

Oh, and you can improve to a 35 in a year. Its just that how you manage your time better.

Composite Score: 32

English: 34
Mathematics: 32
Reading: 31
Science: 31

The math section was just annoying. There was almost more reading than math, in my opinion. I couldn’t concentrate on the test when there were paragraphs to read for single problems.

Composite: 34

English: 35
Math: 33
Reading: 36
Science: 32
Writing: 10
Combined English/writing: 33

I’m pretty happy considering I went in cold. If I could get that science up I could pull a 35.

Does the essay affect your whole writing score or do they also give you a separate score for that ?

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

I’m pretty sure the essay is a separate score.

I got this from a different thread but could you guys answer?

Did you consider the ACT to be “hard”?
Were you confident on all your answers?
How much prep work did you do?
How many time had you taken the ACT before you got your score?
Do you have any tips for me to get a score 30+?

Thank you lacrossemom!

To all 36ers: What prep books?! How much time did it take?! Any special strategies?
Thanks! :D

Each point off your essay pulls your composite down by 0.25 pts. So if you have straight 36’s, 9 or less on essay will pull you down to a 35.

I just realized I was wrong above, link: [Writing | Writing Test Scores | ACT Student](<a href=“ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT”>ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT) It specifically says the writing score does NOT affect composite. That score is held separately. Now I see that if my daughter had answered just one more science question right, she would have a 36 composite on her June ACT (first try, but likely the last) instead of 35.

I still didn’t get my score yet, and it still says I am just “Registered” although I’m positive that I filled in all of my personal information correctly. Did this happen to anyone else or does anyone else know if this is common?

Mine says “registered” too along with a few of my friends from the same test center. Looks like some scores from So. Cal are late.
