Official June 2012 Sat CR sections (US)

@readi got the same answer

ya, realistic, it was about what passage 1 would say about the critics mentioned in passage 2

Was the sphynx one answer as “unsettling effect” one of the latter problems

@garciac For that one I didn’t put unsettling effect I put something like evocative

@readi32651
you mean Idealistic?
I got idealistic not realistic.

@garciac
I think I got an unsettling effect.
I was stuck between unsettling effect and the nature of evoke something?
but I chose unsettling effect.

@s2aeca
I think you are right on that… ooops

@s2aeca
It was evocative because the author was trying to evoke or draw out something.

@pooopface
“realistic” and “idealistic” were two different questions.

@pooopface I think we’re talking about 2 different questions, because i got realistic and idealistic as 2 different answers - idealistic about what Passage 1 thinks about Passage 2; realistic about how Passage 1 responds to the critics mentioned in passage 2

got unsettling effect but i was considering evocative too so im not sure.
anyone got engender for sentence completion?

8 How about the sentence completion with the words like, “yield”, “mediate”, “engender”?

@SMARTDUDE101
I got “evade”

@SMARTDUDE101
I think “elude” was the answer? I might be talking about a different question though.

Was the illusion in art an experimental section?

For the sphinx one, was the word “fixed” locate or hold?
What were the answer choices for the one with evocative and unsettling effect?

I put hold and evocative nature

I had 4 CR, and it seems that the experimental section was one with a passage about smells and vibrations. Is this correct? Did anyone find this abnormally hard?

I was going to put hold, but then it makes more sense that the sphynx’s eyes would locate, not hold, someone?

Also, what was the question for “evocative”?

the one about illusions in art is experimental

I put unsettling effect cus the author was saying how it gave off different effects to people and then he states its effects on himself and the art degree guy

I didn’t have one about illusions in art…
