Official June 2012 SAT Math (US)

So the answers I got to the hard questions.

The circle with triangle in it: 50pi-96
The one where g(x)=sq. rt (25x) and then g(4x)= k sq.rt (x). I put 10.

Will post more as I remember them.
I thought this Math section was very easy. There were only 2-3 challenging problems.

For the grid in with the 3 triangles and you had to find the degrees, was it 360?

Is everyone sure that the k one didn’t equal 2.5 instead of 10? I put 360? And was it 4 points within the triangle? And was it 30 sqroot 3 or 30 sqr 2?

10
360
4 points
30 sqroot 3

dang I missed the k one. texas was all 3? and the one about being divisible by 3 was 1 and 3?

There was something like x x^2 3x^2 got 3 for it what is the right answer?
and i chose 7points is 4points right answer for sure?

I put all 3 for the texas one and 1 and 3 for the one being divisible by 3.

It can’t be 7, because there are 4 inside, and 3 on the line. I don’t think on the lines counts as being inside of the triangle

Does anyone think -1 for math automatically warrants a score less than 800?

Also I got 6400 for the larger square problem
4x^2 for a different MC

answers to math questions and I know they are right.

10
360
50pi-96
6400
5/64
30root3

any others. i can’t remember any tough ones

texas one- I II AND III

1:4 ratio OF LENGTH OF SIDES

area was 400 for smaller square

sides had to be 20 for the smaller one, and 80 for the larger one

80x80 = 6400, correct swoony

And was anyone stuck on that frequence question? it ****ed me off:

x, x^2, 3x^2(or 3, cant remember) with constant “k”

i didnt answer it

And, was it 4 points in the triangle?

For the last one of the grid-ins, did everyone get 50? I think I might have made that up. It seemed right at the time.

the side they gave you was 60…it was facing the 30 degree angle. so the side they wanted needed to be more than 60. 30sqrt3 isn’t more than 60…

@Mrsullivan i didn’t get that…what was the problem?]

also i got the texan one wrong apparently…do you guys think that the curve this year will be really steep? so i can’t get an 800 for math?

NOO! Missed the 4 points one!!

did anyone happen to figure out which math section was experimental? was it the one with the box decorating with ribbons and wrapping paper question?

10
360
50pi-96
6400
5/64
30root3
4sqrt2
I II III for texas
I and III for divisible by 3
3 for the sequence one
-1 for 19 on one section, it was the x intercept along with 5

We’re in the same boat, missed one math on a stupid careless mistake :(

@wynter the side they gave us was facing the 60 degree angle

shucks I don’t really remember the question. It was like, what is the constant that made g(4x) or something correct. It was the last grid in.
