740 biology e! Not as great as others on here, but I’m content

Is a 740 M alright? Or should I retake?

@jelly765 I wouldn’t I got a 740 E on the may one, decided to retake it in june and got a 750 M, and I heavily studied all the systems and stuff (which I didn’t know for the May exam), so I was convinced that I got around a 780. So yeah, a 740 isn’t the best, but just retaking it won’t do much unless you are more certain you’ll see a significant increase

780 Bio M… meh. could have gotten an 800 if it wasn’t for some dumb mistakes

780 Bio M. IDK why you guys are complaining, I’m ecstatic.

800 Bio M. Also, good job to all you guys!

560 Bio E… :(

i got 720 e should i retake it? im a freshman and didnt take ap bio

Jimmio- I got 720 E too, and I didn’t take AP Bio yet (planning on taking it senior year). I’m just a sophomore who took honors bio but I don’t know if that was enough. haha I wouldn’t retake. I think that anything in the 700s is pretty good, even though getting 750+ seems more favorable. It’s generally harder for people like us who didn’t take AP to get like an 800. I mean yeah, I guess I could have done better. I made one or two careless mistakes, but I don’t think retaking would make a huge difference.

I’m just wondering- a lot of people in this thread did better on M than on E. Are the curves different?

@misschoding I think so, especially since since E is supposed to have a bigger percentile than M

Is there any way colleges can not see the score. I want to apply to ivy leagues and dont want them knowing I got a 560.

@dubnation depends on the school’s policy, I think Yale for example requires to see all your scores

Are all of the good colleges like that?

Zeppelin7- Oh. I hope there’s not too big of a difference haha

Dubnation- I’m not sure. I’m not applying to any ivy leagues so I have no clue. If you get like an 800 on your second try, it’s not a bad idea to send your 560. It shows your improvement and dedication.

@dubnation check with the school either on their website or collegeboard

How do i check on collegeboard? What do i look for? I just see the name of the college…

Score reports are out, but unfortunately they aren’t very detailed :(

How is the Bio subject test different than the AP test, if at all?
@guy1013 the subject test is all multiple choice and it’s easier. If you’re taking the AP now it should be a lot easier to do well on this.
I am planning on taking this after Bio Honors, but do you think I should wait until after AP? I won’t take that until senior year, so I wanted to do it now, but I am worried I am underprepared…
