highly reactive, yet essential

i felt this was pretty easy overall, except for the epidermis/cortex one and a few others. probably need like 2 wrong for an 800

l

Guys it’s definitely cortex no question. Epidermis is a dermal tissue and the question clearly asked for ground tissue. Google it and you’ll see cortex is ground tissue

Also people get that after boiling no gas produced?

When u boil yeast, its biological viability is destroyed… Some may argue that bakers heat it at 100 deg … but they do not heat the dough… the dough (with yeast) is left alone to ferment at regular temp … Boiling it will destroy the yeast

It was talking about the roots and in the roots the epidermis is modified for absorption

What was the answer to 98 when they asked what was the function of gene X?

stimulate cell division

was the carrying capacity one the first choice (1905-1910 or something) or the second one (when the population was climbing suddenly before the drop)?

For the question about absorption it was root hair and for the question about the ground tissue that surrounds vascular tissue it was cortex

1905-1910 … that time it was the role of predators keeping the deer population at the carrying capacity… after 1910, the results r due to human intervention (hunting) …

What did you guys get for the most related to mushroom question?

When, or if most of you get to college, you may want to read your schools honor code regarding academic honesty. Most of you here seem to not think much of it. Your parents will be really proud when you are kicked out or your diploma is recinded because you couldn’t follow simple rules. Sad.

That seems a little harsh GAmom

I’m not being harsh, just stating facts. Some of you might want to go to collegeboard and read the section on Test Security and Fairness. It just irritates me when students don’t think they need to follow rules. YMMV

What do you guys think the M curve will be like?

I’m guessing an 800 with three wrong is pretty unlikely?

I thing the collegeboard screwed up on the absorb materials of the roots questions because it can be either epidermis or roots hairs because in the roots the epidermis is MODIFIED for ABSORPTION and the ROOT HAIRS EXTENDING OUT OF IT INCREASE THE AREA OF ABSORPTION.

Just a quick question about biology E and M guys. Since they are pretty much the same test except last several question, is it advantageous to take both of them? Like does it impress colleges? Or they will just discard it and taking both of them is a waste of money and effort?

I don’t think you can take both on the same day. And according the collegeboard “If you’re planning on a pre-med or science major, this [Bio M] is a great way to demonstrate your interest and skills.” while Bio E is for people interested in the natural world. I think you just need one of them, not both
