i heard from someone who got a 790 that a 70% or higher is an 800 on Math 2, and most good math kids get 800s, so he was upset.

I left 4 blank, and I’m expecting that I probably made a few careless mistakes somewhere along the way with how I was kinda rushing for time at the end. But the ones I didn’t leave blank, I felt solid on (unless I made some careless mistake). I thought the test was easier than the Barron’s (took a few, average score about 750).

GUYS for the one with the circle and point O and something else where it asked how many grand circles or something can be made, was the answer none?

The test seemed hard to me. I should have studied more. I’m going for the 800, but I’m not sure I got it.

Same. I don’t know, I know for a fact that I omitted two and missed two. So far.

I’m hoping I got an 800…I think I got 2 probably wrong, though…we’ll just have to wait and see.

hoping for atleast a 700… i omitted many questions but i was pretty sure of my answers… ughhhhh.

I thought this was much easier than Barrons’

I got like 720 average on Barrons’ Practices
and like ran out of time for 4 of them…

But for today, I answered all of them, knew what all but two of the questions were talking about, and had time to go back and redo the first thirty questions…

@1004486 - my kid took a different SAT II Math 2 test today than everyone else here did as we’re international, so can’t compare apples to apples, but still… I just don’t understand how you had time not only to get through all the questions but also to go back to the first 30, my kid missed answering 20 questions because of time! Have you improved your timing with practice? I just don’t understand why this happened to my kid today with the time issue, took the SAT a month ago and only missed answering one math question because of time and got one wrong (got a 750). Is the SAT II Math 2 test very different from the SAT Math test?

I think I’m between a 700 and 750 since I omitted 10 questions and I’m pretty sure I got at least 3 wrong…
Would you guys recommend retaking it? I’m applying to UCLA next year as pre-bio.

@AmerigoRound I am usually a fast test taker, doesn’t matter if it’s a school chapter test or out of school test like SAT or PSAT. I am what I consider good at math (AIME qualifier in 9th grade) and am about to take the final for Precalculus.
To answer your question, I did not improve my timing with practice, but I just do a lot better on tests than practices.
Like I said before, on my practices, I was out of time and couldn’t answer the last four, and got around 12 wrong. But most of the wrong ones were because I made really stupid mistakes and I’m hoping this time I didn’t make any.

I went back to the first 30 because I had around 10-15 min. and because I already have done it, it’s easier to double check. But it’s really the last 20 that you should be worried about.

If you practiced with hard tests, this one was a breeze. (Not in difficulty level, obviously, but in time level) None of those problems were very long, time-consuming problems.

@mrnephew exactly

What did yall get for the one about the equation of the line that was tangent to the parabola? I got like y=2x+3

Got a 780. I’m happy with my score. What about you guys?

DAMN … I got a 790
probably going to retake

Got my 800!

Woot! 800 For me!

800! :)
