****OFFICIAL JUNE 2014 SAT MATH II THREAD****

so is the consensus that this test was much harder than usual? What do you think the cutoff RAW score will be for 800 (I’m guessing 43?)

I’m praying for an easy curve. Most people I know who took the test thought it was difficult.

yes, it was more difficult than the 2 tests in the practice book

There was a question with roots that was either 1 or -1? What was the answer?

I don’t remember that question.

It was 1.0. It asked what the zero/root of a polynomial was.

Oh was that the answers with 3 and 1 but there was only -3 so it was 1?

Yeah it was like that, the other root was the wrong sign.

Cool. I got one as well.

Hoping for atleast 700+, omitted 6Qs… ugh. pretty sure got all of my answers right. i just didn’t have the time to get it done.

This one was a lot tougher than I was expecting.

I answered all, I know theres already 2 wrong (great circle and the acres one). There’s anywhere form 0 to 3 more wrong, So I like my chances. I just hope I didn’t commit any other stupid mistakes

what do you guys think is the lowest raw score to get a 800?

I think that you will need a 43 or 44/50 raw. I checked over all the questions via several google docs and have gotten 5 wrong, 0 omitted. The test was a lot harder than expected. I thought that it would be a lot easier than Barrons and Dr. Chungs but it was infact comparable.

I wouldn’t compare it to Dr. Chung difficulty at all

Nope, not even close.

haha. did you guys take a practice test from that dr. chung book?

so you think 4 omissions and 2-3 mistakes can be an 800 b/c of the difficuly level of this test?

I took 12.

And maybe.

I took one practice from Dr Chung and didn’t finish on time, got a 730. On the one today I finished with 8 minutes to spare. Dr. Chung is much more difficult than the real one.
