****OFFICIAL JUNE 2014 SAT MATH II THREAD****

@SATManiac98‌ I put f(2) for that but I had no idea.
And the distinct primes I think i got 125

@SATManiac98‌ f(2) because g(2)*(2-2)=0, so f(2)=r

@Wimbus1233‌ I got 0 too but what’s your friend’s reasoning?

I thought the answer to box was 128

They didn’t have that answer though

Distinct primes answer was 64.

can someone make the google doc visible to everyone lol

Some one add me as well. I have a lot of questions/ answers I would like to share…

Yeah ikr add me too.

I’m very adamant on zero too. There’s no way you can get one, because the diameter of that circle cannot be gotten if you connect a to b.

I also said 1 for the great circles…

@mrnephew I thought 128 as well b/c the volume is 2x2x2 so I did 4(8) + 4(4)(6) = 128.

What about:

 • x-intercepts of 4(3)^(-2x) + 7(3x)^(-2x) = 0 --> was it none?
 • Area of triangle with the 1 acre = 43560 feet --> was it 4.0?
 • 2 highest test grades 95 and 97, which must remain the same? Median?
 • Unit digit of product of 24…*98 (without multiple of 10) --> 6?

That’s how I got it.

x intercept was one. EDIT: I thought you were talking of a different problem. I got 1.
The acre q was technically 3.95 but I rounded up to 4.
Median.
I got 4, because 2x4x6x8’s last digit is 4.

@SATManiac98‌ x-intercepts was 1 i think…i used my graphing calculator, but im not sure
yes for acres
yes for median
idk the last one, i guessed 4 (was it sum? i thought it was the product)

okay I’m pretty sure the great circles thing was 0 because if you try to draw a circle between/connect A and B, you’re not forming a circle with the same diameter as the sphere, it’s smaller. But idk how to prove that mathematically

I got 1 x-intercept
4.0 for the area of the triangle
Median
and I skipped the last one

I just multiplied out the whole entire thing on the TI-89 Titanium, and the answer is 3574437402976522025004345799179813384247429972438421795241984.

Wait, I realized I did the wrong question. The answer’s 8.

Wait how was there no x intercept? I graphed it and saw one on the negative x axis

I thought it was the product too.

Look at the edit. My bad, guys. Sorry.

For the product one, I don’t think it’s 4. You had to do 246812141618…98 and the units digit ended up being 6. 2468 ends with 4 as units digit. But you had to do that 10 times, so 4^10 = 1048576, with 6 as units digit. So I think it’s 6.
