Official June 2nd SATI Thread

ok guys...i didnt study at all for this one, but I think I did better than March. My essay was better. Anyway...lets discuss

Civic Pride or Congeniality??
For the horse passage, it was dynamic wasnt it. I chose delicate =(
What does the "middle-brow" comment say aobut journalists??

Also, I got an experimental CR section. I think it was the squid one. Did anyone NOT get the squid passage?

squid WAS NOT experiemntal. everyone had it. ur journalist one was experimental

that test was a disaster

ohhhhh...that's interesting. I thought the squid was experimental because it had 25 questions instead of 24. Hey, that could be even better since that journalist section was kinda hard.

trapezoid quesiton = 18??

what about chopping off corners of the cube. 24 vertices??

i put congeniality.. i thought the math was incredibly easy and this is coming from someone who has never gotten above a 700 on that section. i think i answered all the math question except one which i skipped- the one with (x,y) having no value as ordered pairs, what does c equal. i had absolutely no clue.

i felt the critical reading was really tricky, the essay was great, and the writing section was ok.

edit: wouldnt it be 10 vertices? i also put 14 for the trapezoid question as a complete guess

i thought the cr was pretty difficult but the math and writing weren't too bad

why 24? a cube without that has 8 vertices. Now it takes each one and replaces it with 3..so 3x8?

Alright so everyone got squid passage, and the horse/female literature critic/journalist passage was experimental?? Can anyone else confirm this??

I agree with 18 for the trapezoid ring, 24 for the vertices, and -2/3 for the "no solutions" value.

"Congeniality" is also correct, I think. The other choices were "civic pride," "convenience," "natural beauty," and a nonsensical one.

i thought it only did that to that one vertex.. was it all 4? i might have misread the question.

what was the essay topic????

whether one should go for self-pleasure or pursue the happiness of others. I used a personal exp, MLK, and cuckoo's nest. Somewhat generic, but w/e

edit: pretty sure it was all 8 vertices...which is how many a cube has

nice i was split between civic and congeniality, and chose the latter

i didn't no the trapezoid one so i guessed 12.
the vertices was 24

congeniality

what was the horse passage? i never had one. but i did have an experimental cr.

was the candidate during the debate uproarious? that was the only sentence completion i wasn't sure about

i actually had a math experimental....i had two fill in math sections so one of those is gone

math was pretty easy....i also got 24....what baout hte question x+y=56 and w/e what is x-y..i got 30..? trapezoid ring, no ordered pair value of c were really the only hard ones

what about that one what could be the value of c if x is all values and a and b are positive integers...i got 77 as one of the possible values..?

i forget wat i put for the candidate, but i didnt put uproarious.

horse passage was a little passage "rocking horses" with 2 questions

i said the candidate was "innocuous"

^ yes to all those math answers. Not sure about 77 but it could be possible since there were multiple answers. I got 17

i put that it was 43+13 and iforget what the question asked exactly

did anyone get a good amount of "no error" on the writing?

^ yes...about 3-4. I didnt study at all for writing so i kinda wung the writing MC. But overall it wasnt bad at all

i got 6. but i know one of them i put was wrong. therefore, 5.
