770 MathIIC
760 USH (was expecting a lot better.. like 780-790)
710 Bio M (<--- **** how did this happen)

i have a 770 Chinese score from soph year too... should i retake (bio and math2)? I'm aiming for Wharton, Brown, MIT, or Yale w/ a 3.97 unweighted GPA and a 35 ACT

do colleges require you to turn in you SATII scores with the rest of your application or can you take them later in the year and then turn them in?

"Percentile scores on the SAT Subject Tests are extremely misleading because not every student takes the Subject Tests and those students who do, don't all take the tests in the same subjects. For example, the only people who bother to take the Physics test are those that are excellent at Physics. A score of 600 on the Physics test places you in only the 38th percentile, while a 600 on the Chemistry test puts you in the 47th percentile. This difference, however, does not mean you stand a better chance of admission with a 600 in Chemistry rather than Physics. The scaled scores are meant to represent similar levels of achievement and are a much better indicator of how well you did than the misrepresentative percentile scores."

so percentile rankings are a bit skewed...

Yeah... a 730 on Math I definitely isn't better/greater than an 800 on Math II (~_~o)/;;

^^^^^^^^^^^
It was meant to be a joke at my slight underachievement...

760-Math II (alright..thought i may have made an 800)
720- Physics (great considering i only opened a prep book the day b4, should i retake... don't kno if a ton more studing is worth 60-80 extra puntos)
congrats for those who got great scores

650 on Latin. Not happy. But I've only had two years, and I didn't know poetry or a large portion of the words/grammatical constructions...so...not too bad, I guess.

SAT IIs test competence and a score of 700+ clearly shows the colleges that you have mastered the material. If you know that you can do better, retake it. Other than that, you are wasting useful time and money. :)

SCORES ARE ONLY ONE PART IN THE APPLICATION. MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMPETITIVE SCORES!!! Subjective parts of the application such as essays and extracurricular activities are the only ways to stand out.

This is all said in deep respect and admiration. I am not shouting at you, but advising you on what to prioritize. :)

EXCELLENT JOB EVERYONE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! :)

How do you people do so well on everything? Is everyone here just very smart or what? I spent so much time studying for the sat math and still did poorly, I swear, this forum is making me depressed.
I got 580 on my math 2 and 610 on my chem btw

Chew on this: when you take any SAT test over and over again, the score report lists each time that you take the test. If you've ever been to a college workshop, fair, or information session, you know that they always claim that they do not look at how many times you take the SAT (subject tests, in this case), but "it is generally our experience that taking tests more than twice offers diminishing returns." URL="http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/utilities/faq/admissions/tests/index.html"

I would think twice before you decide to retake your 770 on Chemistry, or 790 on Physics, and god knows what other ridiculously, perfectly competitive and competent score on whatever difficult subject.
