How funny. This thread has 800 posts now :D

to answer soprolahh, i got an 800 on the mathIIC with an 84+
it's probably easier/faster with an 89, but it is definitely possible with less

800 Math IIC

I used a TI-84+, and my preparation consisted of a few practice tests from the Barron's book during the week before. >_>

math lvl 2 - 800 - barron's
biology molecular - 750 - barron's

....(will not retake either lol)...

540 on chem, not a shock haha i didnt do much prep.

but i got 660 on us history!!! im so glad; the test asked such obscure detailed questions i thought i did so much worse. yay! i still think im going to retake it though because us history is a strongpoint so with a little more prep i can easily get a 700.

hows a 730 on bio M for first sat 2 ever taken (i'm a freshman)? and on the official sat 2 practice test i also got a 730 (and i looked at some of the answers so i didnt really deserve that). nonetheless, thats a solid score, right?

Anyone who gets a 780 on a SAT II and we thinks they have to retake it is a complete moron.

I agree ^^ waste of time.
But no one come and say that anything above 700 is fine etc..don't highjack the thread please.

and dominantheirarcy 730 is very good for 1st SAT score. most of my friends got 650's for their first SATs as freshman who are applying to very competitive colleges. Depending on where you apply, you might not want to use it as one of your top 3 scores - but for basically everywhere that's a great score.

Anything above 700 is fine. And I am hijacking the thread, not highjacking it.

And if you say that 730 is a great score, so is a 740.

Just get over it.

^ haha. agree 100% stop complaining people!

oh man, i STILL don't have the guts to check my score. i'm sooo scared about physics. all my friends in my physics class did HORRIBLE ! and i think some of them are a lot better at the subject. sigh.....

^ i'm sure you did fabulously. just check it!

hey I got a 670 on math II, will colleges take into consideration that I haven't taken calc yet? Also, you can use an 89? Dont those just do everything for you?

The Math II doesn't have calculus on it, so I don't know.

89s are incredible. My friend has one and I was mad that his 89 could do indefinite integrals while I was using the FTOC and a litle 83

yeah i used the 83 as well

does anyone know approx. how long after the scores are released online they come in the mail? i live in so'cal btw.

heres how i did; im happy with them except for literature :/

800 History (US)
750 Math II
640 Literature

Is a 750 in Math good enough to send to the most elite schools??

750 is stellar for most school and, while not stellar or unusual for Ivies and comparable, is still quite good if one is interested in that level of school.

I was terribly misinformed by somebody who told me that it was better to use a regular scientific calculator than a graphing calculator. Besides this, I bombed the Math II Test horribly, and I won't blame it on the calculator. I am happy, though, with 740 Lit 750 Us, which are both acceptable for where I want to go (UC's).

On physics and chem, you doin't even get to use a calculator, so oyu have to do all the calculations in your head or on the paper. It didn't seem to hurt me, I got an 800 and 760 respectively
