Official June 4 SAT Reasoning test discussion

About time...

So what did you think of the test?

Thread stealer... lol

(Copy and paste from my thread)

How did you think you guys did?

I think I did fairly well. I'm happy with my performance.

Lowest I think I got was 650-660 in math (that curve is nasty).

Everything else though, I'm expecting/hoping for 700's or atleast near that.

Share your experience!

I had two 35 question writing sections :(. Kind of brutal, especially because I believe the easier one was the experimental.

yeah i think the easier one is experimental too, section 5 or something

Yeah, the writing was extremely easy. Reading wasn't too bad. I tripped up on a couple sections. Math, surprisingly enough, was my worst subject this time. 750 last time I took it, but I actually left two blank and wasn't sure on two more. It makes me nervous! All in all ....2100 ish.

can we post questions up

Math didn't seem too hard. Did the ETS put out two completely different tests? My friend and I tried comparing sections after we finished and we could not relate to the problems on sections 8, 9, and 10.

i think so... I'm not sure.

Did any of you have an especially tough Math section? Two of my students reported a very difficult Math section as Section 2. Anyone else? Could that have been experimental?

yea me too. a writing experimental!

n at one time there was some loud music coming from outside which was quite unnerving when reading the critical reading passage..

i think i did really well in the math section. only a page in the essay. didn't do too well in CR i think.

btw how many different test papers are there for the SAT on a single day?

yeah, i had one difficult math section... i can't remember quite what was on it..but I had problems with one of them..I hope it was experimental.

Isn't 10 a.m. Pacific Time 1 p.m. Eastern Time? If it is, then we should be able to begin posting.

Godot: i really sped through section 2 math so i'm not really sure if it was the same paper.

There was an error on my test in the part where you "fill in the corresponding ovals exactly as shown." The ovals and the number at the top didn't match. Kinda makes me nervous, ya know... My test proctor just told me to fill in the ovals corresponding to the number at the top. I'm going to be ****ed if I get my scores back and they're like 300's because I was marked for a different version of the test. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

My friend had a completely different test from what I had.

ugh i did so well on all the math sections like i think i aced them...except section 3...which was smy first math one..that i screwed up royally..i was taking too much time n then freakked out and just blah is all i can say about that one

wondering if anyone else had the same test as me
i had a reading comp 2nd, math 3rd, math 4th, i think reading or writing 5th, i had the produced response as 6 whch i think eliminates a lot of tests, 7 im not sure, 8 i had reading comp (the 20 min one), 9 math (20 min) and then the writing one

ahh the readings i can rememeber:
intelligent life
girl in austria (well thatw as writing)
japanese poetry
the painting one where mr.h was faking a van eyck painting
the animal conservatory place (2 short writings)
ummmm ill think of more later i have to go now

I really really really hope section 3 on that was experimental cu zi thin k idid have more math than reading....its the sole determinant between like a near 800 and like near a 600

i think the "section 2 math" everyones talking about was the section 3 ...because it was the second section after the essay...n i remember thinkign it was section 2 n then as the teacher was picking up the tests i glanced and saw 2 was a reading comp on mine

I had Section 2 reading, 3 math, 4 reading, 5 writing, 6 math, 7 writing, 8 reading, and 9 math.

yeah..section 3 math killed me.

did anyone have the test with the essay about media's influence on what is and what is not important to people' or sth along this line?
