********Official June 9th 2007 ACT English Thread********

Nope, it was the last sentence about seeing someone's face.

The question specifically said that the paragraph should be devoted to describing his actions.

But that was important because it leads into the next paragraph. There wasnt even anything about magnifying glasses, it was just randomly thrown in there :</p>

What about the one about relationships? Did you say "no change" and leave it as "improve relationships" or whatever it was?

And also:

What about the one describing the mother looking down from a tree? Did you put it with a comma, or without. ie "in a tree, peering down at the camera"

In a tree, peering...I'm sure.
I put improve and stuff for the relationships one.

You left in the last sentence about developing and seeing the face and removed sentence three which described the lens. It said something like the lens has a curved surface...no action there.

what about the one where it was originally "help my relationships"

did you change it to the longer one, or leave it as it is?

I left is as "help my relationships" considering how wordy the other choices were.

I changed it because "help my relationships" doesn't make sense. "help make new relationships and strengthen old ones" does.

Does anyone remember about how many No change answers they had. I remember putting a quite a few in the first 10-15 questions. I got a 27 on the April test in English, but I'm thinking I did worse on this one.

What was the answer to the question that was like, "They all have the same hopes and dreams, fears and whatnot, blahblahblah..."?

Did you have just "hopes and dreams, fears and whatnot"?

Or "hopes, and dreams, fears, and whatnot"?

it was "hopes and dreams, fears and dkdkdjf" that was the only one that made sense grammatically

ok thanks! That was the one that stumped me. (Now hoping I didn't make stupid mistakes!)

for the first one on the passage about some author, did the author's name have to be in between commas or not?

I agree with brownie.

did anyone else get A LOT of B's and G's (the one thats the 2nd choice in the non A-D ?'s)?

In the beginning I got like AA, DD, CC or something, I dunno the order but a pattern like that.

what did you get when it was like which word does NOT belong. foster, encourage, support, etc?

I put support for that question but i am not sure

What is the other word? I'm almost certain I put support, but I could have put something different.
