I second logogirl's question. Any responses?

:D

English: 35
Math: 26
Reading: 30
Science: 28

Composite: 30
Writing: 11

Science and Math stayed the same, reading, writing and english went up! I'm very happy, even if it is just a one point increase!

composite: 30
writing: 10

my science was in the 66th percentile...rest was in 97th for country.

should i retake it if i want to go to b erkeley?

Which would be better to send for my college app?

2030 SAT or 29 ACT ?

31

english--32
math--34
reading--30
science--29
writing--11

2030 > 29 But send them both because colleges ACT averages are lower than their SAT averages.

English: 34
Math: 29
Reading: 33
Science: 26

Composite: 31
Writing: 11

Yay! ^_^

I'm sorry to ask this again,

but does the essay score affect the composite (total) score you get?

Just got it back in the mail today!!!

Composite: 34 :)

English: 35
Usage/Mechanics: 18
Rhetorical Skills: 18 (why didn't I get 36?

Algebra/Coord. Geom: 16
Plane Geom/Trig: 16

Reading: 35
Social studies/science: 18
Arts/Lit: 17 (dang...)

Science: 31 :( :( The fire alarm went off during this section!!! Not fair!

WRITING: 11. What? I got an 11 last time and this one was sooo much better?!?!?

It said "Your essay showed recognition of the complexity of the issue by PARTIALLY evaluating its implications."

What? I filled up ALL THE PAGES! How could it have only been partial??? I wrote a book!

Oh well, i should be happy with an 11....

Composite 33

English: 35
Usage/Mechanics: 18
Rhetorical Skills: 18 (why didn't I get 36 either???)
Math: 33

Reading: 35
Social studies/science: 17
Arts/Lit: 18

Arts/Literature 16

SCIENCE 26 (f***)

Eng/Writing 31
Writing 8 (huh????)

I'm not very happy. Effing science... Especially since I want to have a freaking CAREER in science. I should probably just go kill myself, or ACT. Well, I guess I got what I expected after not even getting to the lat 8 Science questions.

composite: 34
E-35
M-36
R-36
S-28
Writing- 9 (?? I got a 12 on the SAT essay!)

ugh science :( I'm in the same boat as you Eravial08, I think I'm going to be a doctor= lots of science in the future

Can you send both ACT and SAT scores to colleges, even if they say to send "either the SAT or ACT"?

Composite: 31
E-34
M-33
R-31
S-27
Writing-11

lol I'm in the same boat as Eravial08 and instanticedtea...I know that I'm a great science student, but it's the damn timing that screws me up on the ACT Science section...a real scientist would spend more than 35 minutes in reviewing those graphs...

composite: 32
E-30
M-35
R-28
S-33
writing- 10

im still in shock (after finding out for 3 days now :o )

How is E36, M 35, R 35, S 30 and a writing of 12? That should be a 99% score, right?

Yes. 34 = 99+ percentile. I learned that the hard way haha

Composite: 33
English: 32
- Usage/Mechanics: 17
- Rhetorical Skills: 16
Mathematics: 35
- Pre-Algebra: 18
- Algebra: 16
- Geomtry/Trig.: 16
Reading: 30
- Social Studies: 16
- Arts/Lt.: 15
Science: 34
Writing: 11 (English+Writing:32)

I'm quite happy with this score. I'm hoping this indicates that if I study I'll do a lot better!

That and my SAT score is like a 1940, so it's a big jump.

Gotta love super scoring :)

32 Composite this time around:
34 English (+2)
34 Math (+3)
32 Reading (0)
27 Science (-7!)
9 Essay (-1)
32 combined

but...
My previous test (February), I had 32/31/32/34/10
Super scored = 34/34/32/34/10 = 34 Composite/33 combined :D

Everyone else like me who had the worst science section they'd ever seen this testing, take it again in September. Worst case, you keep what you have. Best case, you can easily bump your Composite up a point or 2. Much easier if colleges you're looking at super score.

They don't superscore because you send score reports to colleges completely separately. The ACT does not list all your scores like CB does with the SAT. The college will only see one of your scores.

Some say that if they receive multiple test scores, they'll superscore.
It's easiest to list the college as a recipient when you register, but you can send scores from different dates, to the same schools. It costs extra if you didn't use your free recipients, but it's a way to superscore your ACT. Not many superscore it anyway.
