go look in a prep book just in case. i think the highest would be 30 for 33/40.

http://www.actstudent.org/pdf/preparing.pdf

pg 63

on that test a 33 in science would give you a 26

Ughhhh.

Well, thanks anyway.

how could you say that science was easy?!?!??!?!?!

it raped me six times over

pretty sure i got 34+on everything else, but id be happy with a 28 on that science

i was going to get my scores canceled because my mom had it so that they automatically get sent to both UF and Georgia Tech.. but i really don't want them to see it now because i don't think i did well =(

i hate standardized testing, i do so horrible, i'm smart but i can't work under time constraints =(

English was medium
Math was medium
Reading was SOOOO EASY
Science would have been easier if the fire alarm hadn't gone off in the building. @#$%

I liked most of it... the science was SOOOOO long.... I normally get 31+, but this time I'd be lucky to break 30

The only math question I didn't like was the h(x) is proportional to x one. I think I overanalyzed - put A - line with y-int at 0

Also, does anyone know why my quick reply box at the bottom of the page is missing?

how is that overanalyzing? i put A too, and i'm prety sure it's right.

it would just be y=kx, k being the constant. it wouldn't be a hyperbola and would most definitly be going through 0,0.

I thought the engish wasnt that bad, i thought the math wasn't that bad either but i wasnt able to finish so i guesed on about 5....
reading pretty good
science.......... i didn't know how to answer some of the questions, especially the animal chart things.... sea beds....

Yeah I put A and so did 2 other people I know.

another math question:
for the largest prime numbers < 60 - was the answer E - something like 47, 53, 59
if I get this right, I have an good shot at 36!!

Yes thats right Duck.

this PROBABLY shouldnt go here but i was just thinking......if i get basically equivalent scores on the SAT adn ACT, do u think it would look stupid to send both, or do u think it wouldnt amtter?

I have a few quick questions:

Math - What were the last two? I ran out of time and put C and H.

Reading - What was the last one? Ran out of time again...I put A.

Is the ACT like the SAT in that if everyone thinks it's easy and does well then the curve is terrible? Thanks!

I wish i took the ACT today..too bad i forgot.

brownieboy,
Well one test could be seen as confirming the other, if the scores are similar. (And that can be either good or bad depending on those scores, so I would decide whether I want to emphasize the scores as being overall validating of my work and ability, or if I wanted not to raise red flags.)

Similarly, I think I would not want to show huge swings within sections of a test -- if one test has so many internally different scores, and the other does not. (I would send the more consistent one, as long as the composite scores are comparable.) JMO.

^^ Colleges tend to like to see consistency of result: that's the reason for the above.

thanks a lot epiphany- depending on what the new sat scores are (took them in june) adn the ACts, ill make my decision from there

lets start posting a list of all the answers we rememeber

I put A as well.
