does stanford superstore?

Do we know what the curves are yet?

For whoever was asking about tips for each section from higher scorers (I got a 35 Composite), here are my strategies and the scores I got on each section:

English (36): When in doubt, try reading the sentences in your head, then picking the answer that sounds the best or go with the shortest answer.

Math (34): Pace yourself. I did lots of practice math sections from old ACTs, and it really helped. Also try working backwards and plugging in numbers to solve questions.

Reading (35): I do line number questions first (marking the lines in the passage) and skim the rest of the questions before reading. I save the questions about the “passage as a whole” for last.

Science (33): This has always been my hardest/worst section, so I practiced it the most. I NEVER read the passages and ALWAYS read the questions first and find the answer in the figures. I also underline which figure/passage each question is referring to as I go.

Hope this helps!!

Should I retake because of Math? Not to raise composite but because math will make me look bad? I’m super happy with my composite score.

Good luck to all who haven’t received their scores yet!

Got a 21, ***

English: 34
Mathematics: 33
Reading: 35
Science: 33
Composite: 34

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. I was screaming and crying for about 10 minutes before I could compose myself enough to post this. This is just incredible.

Also, I took the ACT Plus Writing, the scores of which are yet to be announced.

@debater, a 33 isn’t bad… it’s good for any college lol. sure, it’s not at the top, but that’s not what matters. it only matters if you’re in the range (i have a 33 too from february, and i’m not concerned at all!). i even saw the stanford SCEA thread and 32s (unhooked) were getting accepted and 35s were getting rejected

oh yeah i would totally retake it. Some schools do superscore the ACT and if you study math you could pull off a 35 or 36 no doubt

Yeah I also just filled in C for the last 10 Questions of math cause I ran out of time aha. Well I’m gonna focus on my last subject test and then perhaps retake act. I’m not really interested in improving my composite just don’t want the 29 to be held against me

My scores still aren’t posted. I know it says it may be until the beginning of August, but every other time I remember my score being posted on the first day. Is this normal?

nyyfan14: Yes. Answer documents could arrive late, there could be technical issues, you might have misspelled something in your “Matching Information,” et bleeding cetera.

I thought I did well, but had no idea I’d done this:

English: 36
Mathematics: 36
Reading: 36
Science: 36
Composite: 36
Essay: 9

I’m pleased as punch with the composite, but didn’t do as well on the essay as I had hoped.

S:33
R:31
M:34
E:34
C:33

I was happy with the score. I studied two days in advance and as an upcoming junior I still have two more years to aim for that lovely 36.
No reading scores out yet. I was fairly confident with the essay though.

35 composite, my very first time taking it with no studying. Is it worth it to retake and try to get a 36? Would it actually matter to colleges?

This sucks… I need to retake it and gotta go up 4-5 points ATLEAST hardcore studying all summer long. Any tips?

Shout out to all the 33s out there.

Status still “registered”

This wait is so frustrating!

Has anyone here received their writing scores yet and when can I expect them to be released?

I remember in April my writing scores came out the Friday of the week scores were released. So I’m hoping they’ll be released the 28th.

Mine are up haha and the “early” glitch started working when my essay score was released.
E:26(damn thought this was my best section)
M:28(last 10 questions were brutal for me)
R:29(A gift from god/ skimmed the last passage in 7 seconds)
S:28(If i didn’t learn about genetics in bio, i would’ve been screwed)
Composite:28
Essay:10(What the serious f**,I thought it was horrible and since it took so long to grade I figured my handwriting was illegible)
So yeah I did alright, but Emory wants more
