Official June SAT II Chem

we can finally post discussions about the SAT II's so here it is

i thought it was pretty hard, i used PR for practice tests and they seemed pretty similiar. Ill be lucky if i get a 650

uh........it was pretty hard. I usually finish with about 15 minutes to check my answers but only had 7 minutes to scramble back and forth. The first two parts were like the usual ones. The last part was ridiculous.

Though I probably wont be cancelling b/c everyone else was horrified as well

it was really easy in the beginning and it got harder as it went along ... what were some problems

yo guys wut do u think the curve will be? how many wrong for 700+???

670 or something

how many wrong for 700+??

yeh seriously, I hope its somewhere between 13-25 for a 700

I think its going to quite a lot. Hopefully.

yo guys was the answer precipitate or distillation??

I put percipiate....because the substance was at the bottom and there wasnt really any heating tube to separate the substance anyway

can someone try and remember the problem?is this the diagram one?

yea it was the diagram

yeah, the diagram.
i thought it was either dissolving, 'cuase of the stirrer, or perciptation. i put ppt.

is the sat II going to be like the one in the Real SAT II's book?!?!?

i put distillation, it looked like it was going through a funnel which hopefully did something. I couldnt see it being a precipitate because there was nothing in the other beaker for it to react with and thus form a precipitate

yo wut was the answer to diagram with gas collecting tube, it asked if u wanted density u would use everything EXCEPT wut? i think i but mass of water in beaker

I dont think so...because I think that they decide the curve based on the overall performance for the entire nation, so I highly doubt that there will be any 800's if they followed the scoring they used for that specific test 5 years ago.....(in the Real SATII book)

it was filtration!

there was a funnel...with filter paper...

for that problem what was choice a cuz thats what i put
