do you think it will be curved generously? Like what raw score do you guys think will equal a 700?

Uh.. for that one I at first thought mass of water as well, but then decided that it was probably needed to subtract out the volume or something. Choice E was the atmosphereic pressure and this has no affect on anything because then choice D, vapor pressure wouldnt make sense..

Ok that wasnt really clear. What I mean is that in terms of the experiment vapor pressure of the water is important, that can obviously be agreed on. But vapor pressure is NOT dependent on how much atmosphereic pressure there is. So i put that.

Matrixrebloated is right.

Distillation: You need heat. There was no heat. When you distill water you heat it until it boils then condense it.
Precipitation: The filter paper will filter out all the precipitation.

Therefore, filtration. There was a funnel and filter paper, how logical could it be.

yeh i put filtration too, the solution was just at the bottom. I didnt see any colloid, or particles at the bottom of the beaker

sorry if this is a stupid question but how do you enter chatrooms?
im not really used to aol, lol

lol i dono how to do it either

I'm pretty positive the lab equipment question was filtration. There was something in the funnel, which I assumed to be filter paper. And in the beaker, it was pretty clear that there was a solid of some sort.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the gas problem. I put mass of water, too. It was either that or atmospheric pressure.

post questions here

I put filtration too

is everyone at the chat room? I don't have AIM :(

did anybody get the question for the titration of a strong base by a weak acid? Is it true or false?

I said it was a weak acid.

i don't think "weak acid" was a choice. i put NH3, which is a weak acid.

Did you all find this test easier or harder than Barron's, PR, Kaplan ?

What was that one question towards the end where you had to balance the equation and then give the molar ratio of a hydrocarbon to hydrogen gas? I balanced it and my answer wasn't one of the choices.

I believe the ratio was 1 to 2. I couldn't find it at first either, but then I realized that I was comparing the hydrogen to one of the reactants instead of the other product.

I thought the test overall was relatively easy. But I took AP Chemistry this year and honors chem last year. This test can be really difficult for someone who has only taken one year of chemistry in high school.

1.) "I'm pretty positive the lab equipment question was filtration." Correct :)

2.) "did anybody get the question for the titration of a strong base by a weak acid? Is it true or false?" This is true

3.)"I believe the ratio was 1 to 2" Also correct

I'm 100% positive on all of these answers

Yeah, I was comparing a product to hydrogen gas. That explains it.

I thought the test was extremely easy compared to Sparknotes and the 22 Reals but it could have been because I took it after Literature which is all about choosing the best answer and not the clear cut answer like on Chemistry.
