Hey everyone I created this thread so we can discuss our study resources and techniques we're going to use to score as high as possible. If you've taken the test before please leave a comment on how you studied and whether or not it worked and any other advice you may have. Also if you know where any official released tests can be found or any other effective practice tests please put links below. Thanks.

How long do you think one would need to learn this entire test in and out? I’m signed up for this but I am trying to see how much effort I would need to put in to achieve a 700+

Any recommendations for review books?

I’ve heard very good things about the APUSH crash course, I found these links for some practice tests/ quizzes http://www.mymaxscore.com/images/stories/docs/MMSSATUSHistory_Online.pdf , http://www.historyteacher.net/USQuizMainPage.htm , and this is the sparknotes link for review <a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides; . I’ve heard sparknotes has practice tests but I’ve been unable to find them so if you find them please provide the link.

I believe that there is already a thread for this: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1647521-june-2014-u-s-history-us.html#latest

@Hawkace it was last commented on almost two weeks ago and had no real help on it so I made this one in order to have an active and useful discussion regarding this subject test.

@SATandAPs You do realize that you could just bump the thread with a comment…

@Hawkace Or I could just start a new one… Lol you’re taking this personally

I’m not. I just don’t see your reasoning for starting a new one. Anyway, we can use this thread if you want to.

Seeing that it has more interaction that would be logical, anyways do you have any study materials or practice tests you know about that could help everyone?

I think Sparknotes terminated its entire test collection. Are they any released exams?

@jchen97 Yeah I believe so I was looking for them and unable to find them. The only released exam I’ve heard of is the one in the official study guide for sat subject tests. However that’s just one test and that’s not nearly enough practice.

How do you get the Sparknotes subject tests if they terminated the link?
Charles

@SATandAPs Is there a pdf version of that test somewhere?

and @cbw123 I doubt you can unless you contact Sparknotes directly or something or if someone had stored the test from before

@jchen97 Not that I’ve found man I think you have to get the book.

I took USH in May and got an 800. I completely recommend REA Crash Course: read it cover to cover nad you’ll get a really good score.

@ivyhopes12 Thank you very much for your advice, I’ve heard it’s not specific enough is this not true? Also should I read it the day before and study with other resources beforehand or start reading it with more time, like a week for example. Thanks again for your input.

is this REA

@fnl012 Yes it is.

@SATandaps Noooooo…I’ve seen exact questions on SATUSH come out of the book. You won’t get a 90/90, but you’ll definitely get an 800 if you (and this is part 2 of your question) read it a handful of times in the space of about 1-2 weeks to let info sink in. That way, once you see what a question asks, you’ll already have an answer ready.
