My S received acceptance and marquis scholarship in mail today. So excited and grateful. We are in Ohio.
My son received his acceptance and $24k scholarship letter today. Very exciting as it puts Lafayette in the running financially. Stats 2390 SAT single score, 800 Math 2, 780 Physics, 4.0 UW at all honors magnet school. Excellent ECs. Congrats to all scholarship winners!
My daughter applied RD and it came via mail in a large envelope that said “Congratulations” along the bottom of the envelope. So it was her acceptance letter and it had the Fellowship offer in the letter as well.
I got accepted RD on the 14th. Big envelope in the mail and marquis scholarship! I’m very excited!
When do rejection letters get sent out?
If you didn’t receive an acceptance letter on the 14th does that mean you got rejected? @luckybaer @1512342
@curiousminds01 I doubt it! Truthfully, I haven’t heard of anyone getting accepted or rejected. But I wouldn’t give up on it, especially because they say decisions will come out end of March and it’s still so early.
Seems like only the Marquis people have been notified so far, right?
In the past, Lafayette has sent out the RD acceptances with the Marquis awards in that first wave in Mid-March, with the rest of the notifications coming later in the month. (Though I’m not saying they’re doing the same thing here.)
For my son, an acceptance without a Marquis award is essentially a rejection … kind of like Charlie opening the Wonka bar and finding no golden ticket.
Yes, I believe only the students with scholarship offers have been notified. Perhaps the rest of the acceptances will come out next week?
My son applied RD, and received notification of acceptance and scholarship on Tuesday, 3/15.
From what I’ve read is it looking like next Wednesday for decisions?
Next wednesday means 23rd March or 30th ? @Asil65

Thanks for everyone’s posts!
FYI- Pretty sure decisions are mailed from Lafayette . You can’t check website for admission’s decisions. Good luck!
Can anyone who has NOT received their decision letter log into Lafayette’s TouchNet Portal? If so, what do you see?
No letter today… Anyone know if decisions were mailed yet?
No letter yet. Logged in fine, looks the same as it has for awhile.
@sarasotan not the application portal their student portal. If u log into the application portal & click Fall 2016, Financial Aid Menu & log into that, click Student & Financial Aid, Student Account & lastly View & Pay Your Bill. Can you login using your current info & if so what does it say?
Just called admissions. Letters were mailed yesterday. Good luck, everyone!
