Does anyone know how many they typically take off the waitlist?
Accepted with no interest shown
Waitlisted. But such a nice note- says “strongly encourage you to accept your place on our waitlist” is this standard?
@cloe.salas you go to the lehigh banner thing instead of the lehigh portal and there should be a financial aid thing there and then press 2017-2018 year
^^ @cloe.salas
S accepted. So happy for him! No mention of financial aid information in letter. Need based or merit? Does anyone know where/if that shows up. Perhaps the no mention, means he has none? Any help is welcome
Please do not expect Merit from Lehigh. DS is a Junior and very happy there. We got no merit money, we were told when I questioned it that they only give merit awards to 2% of the applicants. And in today’s mail came a letter from Lehigh announcing yet another increase in tuition. Tuition, room and board and fees is now $65k. That being said he is beyond happy there. Congratulations to all who will now become Mountain Hawks!!
The financial package is posted already. You have to click on the link in the acceptance box and create another portal account with a new user name, password & security questions. I had trouble setting it up but called their help desk and they were able to assist me.
see my comment below - Lehigh does not give out much in the way of merit awards. We questioned it 3yrs ago and were told that they only give merit money to 2% of the applicants.
@tracey507 @casey9 Thanks-very helpful information.

Comments: I am so happy to be accepted into Lehigh. Lehigh is my first private school acceptance and it is number 1 on my list. Lehigh was a reach school for me and I am lucky to have been accepted. I don’t know how many times I have preached this but I will reiterate the fact that STATS ARE NOT EVERYTHING in the admissions process. Don’t let standardized test score and GPA averages keep you from applying to certain schools.
@kidfromokahoma5 Congratulations!
Anyone else locked out of the portal? Does anyone know how to fix it?

To those of you Waitlisted. There is Hope, but you must tell them you want to stay on the Waiting List.
To those of you Accepted. Congratulations.
Kinda wondering if there is a correlation between the date you submitted your RD application and whether or not it affected the admissions decision.
Does early submit = greater interest? S submitted his at the deadline and was waitlisted.
Please post your submit date and decision.
I got accepted into IBE!!! I’m so shocked and excited I didn’t think I was gonna get in because I showed absolutely zero interest.
Accepted with a 3.4 UW and 32 ACT (35 R, 35 E, 30 S, 27 M)! thrilled. Also accepted to American, northeastern, Boston university, and university of Richmond. Submitted about a week before the deadline as I was rejected from my top choice ED.
I’m not sure, other than those that apply ED have a higher likelihood. Our S also submitted right before the RD deadline and was admitted. He was pretty worried that they wouldn’t view him as having demonstrated interest since we live on the West Coast and couldn’t visit. His first visit will actually be the first week of April (yes we booked tickets with hopeful hats on) While not majoring in music, he applied for a music scholarship and made it to the final cut and then did a live audition (via skype) with music staff, so he had a great opportunity there to spend a little time talking with the professors which he thoroughly enjoyed. He did end up being awarded 1 of a small number of music awards (I think 20 total) for $1,500. Yes a small amount, but every penny helps and it comes with free continuing music lessons. I also think it helped make him more visible. He hasn’t made his final decision, but if he matriculates I will be so psyched to have an opportunity to go see him on New Years day 2018 in London as part of the Marching 97! I’m sure you can’t tell…we couldn’t be more proud as parents.
