to LMU123 or anyone else who would know:
Im a business major and they need my grade in business calculus before making a decision on my application. I just finished the course and I got an A in the class. How do I notify them of this so they can make a decision as soon as possible? I really want to get in and I just want to know like everyone else! :)

I’m split between Emerson and LMU. My family is very east-coast centric so idk. And having your former school fax over your transcript would probably be the fastest way but you should call.

Are most transfers planning to live on campus or off campus? For those living off campus, how do you find roommates and people to live with? Is there an LMU website or something to find other students

I got a letter in the mail saying that they did a preliminary review and need my current semester grades. I’m kinda stuck because I now have to send a deposit to Emerson College or McDaniel College by June 1st and I know that LMU wont make a decision by then. =[

I received a similar letter and had a mid-year report mailed last week. I’d say contact admissions – once you manage to get through to a counselor they can be pretty helpful. Explain your situation and ask them what the likeliness is of your acceptance.

I’ve yet to hear back from LMU via mail or MyPAW and so I just ended up sending in a deposit to my second choice… it sucks but I guess there’s nothing we can do :(

Got my acceptance package today! I’m a 2nd year student at a SoCal community college with a 3.3 for Political Science…which is kinda low, but I gotta say to any hopefuls who are going to apply next year - make sure you have strong & real extra curriculars (volunteer services help alot!), awesome personal statement, and I’m pretty sure my two letters of rec nudged me in to get admitted. I feel so blessed and to all those who didn’t get in, things happen for some reason(s)…so keep ya head up!

Admitted Today!!! Theatre Arts Major! So excited, got my acceptance package in the mail today. But there wasn’t any info about the financial aid award, just said that there is still time to apply, which I already did a long time ago. Does anyone know if that gets mailed separately?

Where are you guys able to see your financial aid packets online at, which tab under your myaid site is it located under? I got an update email saying my package had been updated, but I still can not see it on the myaid account :-/ Thanks in advance!

Can anyone tell my my chances of getting accepted?

I’m a transfer and they did a preliminary review of my application and needed my spring grades. I took 4 courses this semester and got A, A, A, B. Are my chances good or bad?

Anyone need a place to live for next year? Daughter may be transferring and has a room in 5 bedroom house with 4 other girls close to LMU. First semester no roomate then live with a girl returning from abroad. All sophomores and juniors.

Does anyone know anything about the Communications Studies program at LMU? I was recently accepted, but I’m still trying to make my decision. Any knowledge or advice is appreciated!

Congrats MusicOverGunz!! Yeah I was wondering the same thing about aid. I got in a while ago but havent heard anything about FA. maybe Im looking in the wrong place…

@Psquires Thanks. Congrats to you as well. Which program did you get accepted to?

I believe the financial aid package comes up in the MyAid page on your MyLMU account.

This process is so much more stressful since I live on the opposite side of the country.

I need to send a deposit before the end of the month, so I hope the financial aid package is up by then. But then I have to worry about knowing if I’ll get housing, because if I don’t then I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford off-campus housing. That’s the reason I didn’t attend Emerson College which I also got accepted to.

Thanks MusicOverGunz, I got accepted for business as a junior transfer. I thought I was going to hear early to mid may but didnt hear until the end of may. If I were you I would try to call FA today and maybe call Housing to see what your options are. Im sure we’ll hear about FA by the end of the week.
