also, if you don’t mind my asking, what are your stats/major?

I haven’t heard anything back yet. Still “Currently Under Review.” I was looking at last years transfer thread and most people didn’t hear back till like…late April early May. I hope thats not the case this year cause I need to know what i’m doing next yr ASAP!! I might try calling tomorrow and seeing what they say…i’ll let you guys know.

@rmn8758 awesome, thanks! I want to know so badly…I really want to go to LMU. I guess we’ll see. When did you turn your app in?

I am dying to hear from admissions too! It’s nice to know someone has heard, and congratulations on getting in! I really hope i don’t have to wait until late april or may. My application went under review February 10th and i just want them to decide already. I had a 3.8 in high school and got a 4.0 my first semester of community college, so hopefully that will be good enough.

@LMU I don’t think you have annnyything to worry about haha. I had a 3.4 in high school and a 3.49 at UT Austin so I’m kinda worried, but you’re good.

Weighted High School: 4.37 GPA
College: 3.81 GPA
Major: Theatre Arts
A lot of Extra Curricular: Professional Performance Work, Teaching Experience, Marketing Internship, Dance, etc
Turn in my complete app early Jan.
I am still waiting to find out about financial aid and I still have to hear back from USC and UCLA.
Financial Aid is basically going to make my decision.

I wish you guys the best of luck, and if I attend I hope to see/meet you all there. Have a great day.

@MusicalAsian that’s awesome! Congrats!!!

@ musicalasian did your status on myLMU change before you got your acceptance letter?

I did not really look online (Only when I had to do the app), so I’m not sure. I got the letter and then I saw it was changed, but it might have changed before since the letter was dated earlier then I received it in the mail. Sorry that I do not have a definite answer. Hope you all hear soon (from whatever school you are waiting on) and get into the school of your dreams.

@MusicalAsian ohh okay, that’s fine I’m so nervous and tired of waiting…I only applied to 2 schools for next year so I’m really hoping to get into LMU.

i turned my app in early march… does anyone know when i’ll get mypaw account?

@kenzcat I called the admissions office and I told them i turned my app in on march 15th and they said that they are still sending out the account info everyday. So they didnt give me a real answer but they are still in the process of doing it

So I’m finally going to find out very soon if I was accepted or rejected…Yesterday LMU sent me an email saying that my MyAid account has been updated, however, when I went to check it, there was absolutely nothing different. I then sent financial aid an email asking them if maybe my financial aid award letter was available and I just don’t know where to find it. They sent me this response:

“Financial Aid awards for transfer students will be viewable in MyAid by May 1st, 2011. Your MyAid may have updated once your Admissions status was determined, generating the email you received.”

So if you guys didn’t know (I didn’t) expect to see your financial aid award letters on May 1st.

As for the admission status–I gave them a call and spoke to a not-so-happy lady who told me that a letter containing my admission decision was mailed out yesterday. Kind of bummed that they can’t just put the decision on my MyPaw account. I asked the lady if she knew what the decision was and she gave me an earfull…oops!

@ nick

I received that same email last week…I was really excited and checked PAW/Aid and nothing. I’m glad that you called. Btw I submitted my application on Jan 15th priority date for early transfer decision (fall 2011).

@nick when did you turn in your app? I didn’t turn mine in til Jan 28th so they probably haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m so nervous!!!

I just checked my portal this morning and on the homepage it said:

“You’re in! Congratulations on your acceptance to Loyola Marymount University. If this is your first time in the MYLMU portal, have a look around (there’s a good explanation of what MYLMU is below). If you’ve logged on before, note that we’ve updated your System Logins. In addition to MyPaw and MyAid, we’ve added a link to the Student Account Payment Center that lets you pay your Commitment Deposit online. That’s something you should do once you’ve made up your mind to attend LMU.”

I am so happy right now! My status is still set as “currently under review” but this same thing happened to people on the transfers thread last year so I know it isn’t just a glitch.

@mcuevas check your portal today and see if you get the same message I did on the homepage, otherwise I would give them a call on Monday and see if they came to a decision yet.

@kmart153 I turned in my app on the same day as mcuevas, Jan. 15th. You are just a little bit off from the priority date, so you may need to wait a couple more weeks, but since you applied in January I would assume they would get to you fairly quickly.

Cool! got in. I have the same still currently under review status under mypaw.

Congrats! Is the Student Account Center link under System Logins working for you? Whenever I try to click on it I get an error page.

Congrats nick and mcuevas. Hope to see you guys there, I have a strong feeling that I’m going to attend LMU since they accepted me as a senior which took me by surprise cause other colleges took me as a junior. I took a lot of credits but did not know they would all transfer. One more year is a lot cheaper then two, so LMU here I come. Hope to meet you guys, would like to get to know people before school starts up. PM me. : ) Congrats, and I hope everyone else hears back soon.

@ nick

My student account doesn’t work yet…
