Dude, you have it all wrong. Texas is gonna beat OU. OU had a great offense because they had the best OL that people had ever seen. And from what I’ve been reading about their Spring game, the OL is going to be the biggest weakness. Furthermore, Bradford wont have his 2 top receivers coming back. Remember Colt McCoy’s downyear as a sophomore? With an inexperienced OL, and his top receiver(Limas Sweed) out due to injury, Texas didn’t get much going offensively and Colt was basically running for his life. I expect the same for Bradford. Just remember, the battle in football is all about the trenches. You’re going to need more than a great QB and a TE to win. With 4/5 OL players coming back for Texas, this should give Colt more time and confidence to throw the ball to an up and coming receiving corps of Shipley, Brandon Collins, James Kirkendoll, and Malcolm Kelly. We just need a TE to step up to help stretch the field. It’s not looking good for Blaine Irby from what I’ve been reading. Even more, this should improve the running game and I think Fozzy is going to step up with this. If not him then maybe Cody Johnson or Chris Whaley. And playmaker? You’re forgetting the 2008 class where we had DeSean Hales. Watch his vid, you’ll be amazed. He is damn fast.

On the defensive side, OU does have 9 players on that side coming back. Question is, can their defensive coordinator do anything with it. It’s also a matter of whether their back 7 can improve. For Texas, we have Kindle going on to DE(the next Orakpo). Some people have questioned our DL, but if you watched Texas football this past season, we were doing a heavy DL rotation. In other words, our DL will be fine. I’d rather have a less experienced DL than an inexperienced OL. OL need a lot of time to gel. Even more, our secondary will be much more improved in the pass happy Big 12. Our LBs should be great with Muck and Norton. And the biggest piece to our defense is Coach Will Muschamp(aka Coach Boom). More time with this guy and our defense is going to be the best in the Big 12 again. Him around improved our defense this past season and led to us having the best defense in the Big 12. This guy is a great motivator, has a lot of energy, and there’s a reason he’ll be the successor to Mack Brown.

Texas will definitely have a great future. Just look at the 2009 recruiting class. Better yet, check out the 2010 class on Rivals.com. If any HS prospect in Big 12 country right now, I’d prolly want to leave it and go to Michigan or Ohio State. Looking at this 2010 class, our defense is going to be SCARY GOOD.

As for basketball, with the verbals of Hamilton and Bradley and the possibility of James coming back, this will definitely give us more offense that we lacked this past season. We should be much better.
