770 M
730 CR
680 W (oops)

Feel like I did better than -2 on math, but I’m happy nonetheless. My scores before this were a 700/720/710 (superscored), so raising that to a 730/770/710 for a 2210 feels really good. Having a CR + M of 770/730 is probably better than 790/700, so I can’t really complain.

Found my essay… 11. (12 next time, lets step it up essay graders!) I clicked on the link from the organizer that said “Most March SAT scores are now available”
it had the essay score under the headline “Your March scores are in!”

My SAT scores basically made my month…

800 Reading (this was basically luck; it’s a HUGE increase from last time)

770 Math (I honestly expected a 710 because I knew I got at least two wrong)

760 Writing (The essay didn’t click with me; I probably got an 8 essay and 1 MC wrong)

If you’re not happy with your scores, take the test again! Sometimes it’s luck of the draw. This was (by far) my highest score and January was my the lowest of my practice scores.

writing curve was pretty harsh…10 essay 75 MC is only a 760 …

I just can’t believe it. I know that I nailed the CR but I guessed not.

It’s my first time, so I’m definitely taking it again.

CR: 640
M: 750
W: 680
E:10

Total: 2070

Ugh, third time…
CR: 750
M: 750
W: 670
E: 8

Total: 2070
SUPERSCORE: 2280

Should I retake for a FOURTH time in May? How to write better essays?

I guess you didn’t need “had” ;)

2390: 800 CR, 800 W, 790 M

700 CR 710 W 710 M = 2120
Not bad for a first sitting I guess, still wish I had bit 2200+. Sigh…started at an 1810 when I started my prep class so I guess I improved at least lol.

@foolish I didn’t put that but there’s no way you can tell. You could have gotten a 9 essay and 3 MCQ wrong and still have gotten an 800. What did you get on your essay?

I’m sorry, but some of you guys are pretty sad.

@Hawkace lol everyone was talking about how much of an expert you are

Who else is retaking?

@EmpyreanDweller don’t be discouraged. My first sitting (October) was a 700/690/710, and after this test (3rd time) it is up to 730/770/710.

I’m no expert. I’m just helpful.
@SavedTatWhim

Thanks for the nice comments.

I’m really disappointed. I know that that I didn’t do my best. Whatever. Every ambiguous question that I answered seems to be wrong. Congrats, @foolish! You were right. Good luck, guys. Later.

any advice on whether i should retake??? M 790 CR 750 W 760…i go to a very competitive public school where every other person is a freaking genius…!!!

@RunningForLife with that score I’m sure you’ll be fine anywhere you want to go, you may want to invest your time in other areas of your resume.

@SATandAPs: thanks for the response! however, many people in my grade have 2350+, so is it worth taking it again to be more competitive in my school environment?

@RunningForLife I’m no expert, since I myself have yet to apply to colleges but I’m sure that as long as you’re in the top 10% in your school and have a 2300 you will have a very high chance of getting in anywhere you choose. Since you scored higher than me would you mind me asking how you studied for math and writing? This March test was my first SAT and I aced the reading section but on math I received a 690 and on writing I received a 700 (10 essay).

@SATandAPs: Ugh I’m sooo pissed about my math score…probably will get it regraded… anyway, for math I can’t really offer any advice, since it has always been my favorite subject and I have done lots of competitions(AMC, AIME, etc) so the test never was hard for me. For writing I also got a 10 essay, so can’t help much there. But for the MC make sure you RELIGIOUSLY learn all the grammar rules, especially stuff like semicolons, misplaced modifiers, and subject verb agreement which are like 1/2 the questions. Also don’t ever second-guess urself (stupid payphone question, could have had that 800 maybe…)
