Oh yeah, what was the answer to that one about the 4 percent increase in the sale of the house, from like $250,000 to $2 million???

uh, i couldnt remember those formulas at all so I guessed D, 49 or w/e it was

i got 53 years for the one about the house and the f(x-1) is definetly .7... It was a very high number question (meaning diffuculty= hard.. DONT BE A JOE BLOGG) and it f(x) = x for 0< x<1 and f(x) = f(x-1) for x> 1. The question was what is f(4.7).. So you plug in 4.7 in f(x) and since 4.7 is greater then 1 you get f(4.7-1). f(3.7) is greater then 1 as well so you get f(3.7-1). You continue this process until you have f( .7 ) and since .7<1 f(.7) = .7.

wow that is difficult then. lol

Yea I also got 53 for the house problem

Exactly ballz...I bet 99% of the Math Level 2 test takers fell for that trick question.

what score can i get if i omitted 9

Argh I can't remember any other questions....

i still think the (x,y,z) question is a line. If someone can give an indepth explanation of why its a plane I would appreciate it. I have no experience dealing with 3 coordinate systems besides skimming through a PR book.

just think about it.. x is always 4, then y and z can be anything therefore you would end up with an area that is infinitely expanding, aka a plane

pillows if you omitted 9 and got every other question right you will get ~780 (according to sparknotes)

im pretty confident i nailed that test

800

x=k where k is any constant is a plane.

Ohhh what was the answer to the statistics question at the end that gave a mean and a standard deviation??? Did the guy's score like between the 80th and 95th percentile???

damnit I almost put that but we never studied standard deviation (I was only familiar with the term) so I just left it blank figuring it would be better to not blindly guess.

asian do you remember the numbers was it like average 74 standard deviation 2 his score was 85 what percentile was it in? are my numbers rihgt?>

It was a plane.
The f(x-1) was definitely 0.7

nah, evilasiandictator
I got a z-score of 5, and in a normal distribution, that is waaaaaay up in the 99th percentile. Like, 99.99999.

EDIT: Mean was 74, S = 2, and the x=84.

hmm i know i got 2 wrong and one omit with my luck im prolly gonna get a 790

You're probably right migrane because i basically have no exposure to Statistics myself and I jsut tried to use intuition to solve that problem...guess that didn't work out so well.;)

I kind of knew was standard deviation was, but I didnt have enough time to work the problem out so i went with 80-95 or 95-99, I forget
