Official Math 2C Thread

Yea, just wanted to be the one to start the official thread.

I didnt even get up to the last 5 questions, and I left 2 blank before that for a total of 7 blank. Hopefully with 5 or less wrong, ill get a 750.

We can start discussing problems in 15 minutes.

Go Bulldogs.

....so are we allowed to discuss now??

are we? I have some questions I want to discuss,
but I signed the answer sheet, so.

Let's discuss!

The number of subsets...15 right?

Omg I didnt get that one - I was so confused about that question. Left it blank.

What about the question about dividing by prime number n and having a remainder of 17? I left that blank as well :(

The number was 29 and the remainder was 21

Ehh - I don't remember, sorry. I don't have the best memory of this test and the exact numbers. I left three blank.

I got the one with the 3 planes wrong...grrr. Other than that I think I aced it.

the prime number one was 0... because:

467.

467 - 17 = 450.

450 / 5 = R0

so thus, 467 / 5 = R17

50 / 5 = R0.

Ahh I see. Dang, missed that one.

About the plane one - I put the line and a ray. I'm not sure if that's correct, I was in a rush to finish. Is that the right answer?

467/5 = R2. 29 was the prime number...miracuously it was the first one I guessed too...fancy that.

Answer for plane one was Line & point.

prime number question was NOT 0. The prime number cannot be 5 because 467 divided by 5 has a remainder of 2 not 17 as psycho correctly pointed out.

How do you know the real answers?

For the plane one - how is it a point?? That doesn't seem to make sense...

plane can be in shape of triangles. Three triangles can intersect in a point. That was my reasoning...

Think of the xyz coordinate system...they meet at the origin which is a point.

random questions i remember...
remainder question = 21
helicopter quesiton with 2 angles = e) 5. something
x,y,z question - 0,z,0
the question with x and F(x) chart = x=2 or 3, i forgot which 1.

anyone agree??

Agree with all of them.

We should make an AIM chat, join "sat2math2".

I got that wrong too.
What was the question about the Prime Number? I can't remeber it
but I think I said the number was 29, and the remainder 21.
You're suppose to consider that the plane is infinite, it's stretching far
So I think a ray only makes sense.

I don't remember a helicopter question...

What was the probability of picking a number > 1?
What was the solution set for that inequation? I went for -2<x<-1

Hmmm I also remember 11.81 for the side of a triangle and 239 degrees as another answer......
