Official Math IC January 2005

soo... what'd you guys think?

i thought it was really easy. the problem is i barely finished it because i had no clue how much time i had left because the proctor wouldn't say if we had 5 min left. i think i got either a 780 or an 800

anybody else take this test

the test was really easy..i had 5 questions left with 15 minutes or like 20 minutes...but i actually had trouble with the last 5 questions:..i think i had to omit 2..

i thought it was easy and i answered all the questions. my us history test is another story.

bumppppppppppppppppppp

it wasn't bad...i took it in october, and i think i did better this time. there were probably only like 2 or 3 questions that i had no idea what the answer was and had to guess.

like which ones

I took the math test and my proctor never gave the 5 min left mark, like they had when i took other sat 11 tests

i think the one about the sphere and the plane.....and a cylinder one

anybody know what the curve is like? say if i answered all the questiosn and get 5 wrong, is a 700 possible?

edison427
*sphere was 6in radius, and plane was 3in above(numbers are guesses)
so you draw a circle to indicate sphere and a line to indicate plane.
then you solve for the rest of the stuff in a triangle (trig, etc.)
*cylinder is 3in radius and 8in height. (about 8in side = as axis = origin of circle)
*I'd say 5 wrong is about 700. (to me, 1 = 800, 2=780, etc.)

My question is... the triangle with 12,9,9 as sides. Then it asked for the area.
I did it the long way.. Sqrt(1566*3) having to do "s" and all that. (took a while -_-)
Was there any shortcut for that problem?

And I forgot the question, but last question seemed hardest.

i foudn the sphere question to be easy...radius was 3 inches..because if it rotates..well u can picture it..the diameter is 6..yeah the last three were pretty hard..

I left 6 blank in Nov. and probably missed 2 and got a 720, however, this time i left 5 blank and feel that I missed 0. What would my approximate score be?

the triangle one...dont u find the height, multipy it by 12 (the base), and divide by two?

i missed the sphere one. i couldn't figure out a picture. after i got home, i figured out how it looked like. the anser is 3 radical 3 for the radius. i got a 780 so close. stupid curve.

omg 3 radical 3?.....u serious?.....:</p>

I left 6 blank in Nov. and probably missed 2 and got a 720, however, this time i left 5 blank and feel that I missed 0. What would my approximate score be? PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!

probably a 740-760

anyone get the answer D between like 31-36ish. I randomly chose D there becuase I ran out of time.
