****official Math Ii Discussion ****

^june was hard than october.

as per the curve, i hear that the percentile for an 800 went up from a 88 to a 90. I don't know if that means we're getting dumber or they're tightening the curve up.

guys what was teh answer to this question:
The other was for some angle value between 0 and 2pi, which of the following were true?
A. Sin2theta>sintheta
B. Costheta<cost2theta c.="" tantheta="">(sintheta or costheta)
A. I
B. II
C. III
D. I and II
E. II and III</cost2theta>

I dont know if this was the exact question but i think this is close. Please tell me the answer to this question.

Also what was the answer to the question which had 2 right triangles, one inside another and it said which of the following is equal to tanx?? Can some1 please tell me the answers to these 2 questions.

how much would 2 left out and 4 wrong be?

E. II and III are both right.

****. And ??yu do u remember the answer to the question where there were 2 right triangles, one inside the other. it said which of the following is equal to tanx. i think there was one answer choice with sin(something)..i think this choice was A and there was 1 choice tanz which was E. I cant remember what i selected for that. Any1?

yeah i tht the ans to the Tanx prob was tan y , i don't exacly remeber it though

Yeah..
Since x=y(x+z=90 degrees y+z=90 degrees), tanx=tany

dammit no one remembers the -1/4 or 1/4 one? lol ugh! omg im doing so bad on this test! what would 6 skip and 4 wrong be??? omgoodness not good..........

A. Sin2theta>sintheta
B. Costheta<cost2theta c.="" tantheta="">(sintheta or costheta)
A. I
B. II
C. III
D. I and II
E. II and III</cost2theta>

The answer is just III, for example, cos45>cos90, and theta is supposed to be in the first quadrant btw

I'm pretty sure that
II is Cos theta>Cos 2theta not "Cos theta<Cos 2theta"

Since Cos is decreasing on the open interval (0,2pi) and theta<2theta..
so Cos theta>cos 2theta

SO it's II and III

for num 50, you sure it was I and III only? how sure?

for number 50 was the answer C?

i got C also but some ppl on here say its I and III

how many trig problems (that required calculator) do you think there was on the test...? how many would you say out of that required your calculator (i used TI-83) to be in radian mode?

so happy you are preety sure.....

can you tell me which MAth 2C test prep book is the best to study from? I used Barrons and did not feel that it helped. Thanks.

Pr....................

Are you sure, because I used Barrons and breezed through this test. So I would definitely suggest Barrons unless you actually have to learn some of the concepts. The tests helped me by being harder than the real thing. Going harder is the best way so you can breeze through these tests.

I used my calculator in degree mode the entire time. Just remember that if the answer you have is wrong multiply by (pi)/180

if you are in degree mode dont you multiply by 180/pi to get the radian measure?

yah. But then youll get screwed if you graph anything.
