u had to find the other angle 180-117 or someting divide that by 2 and use the law of sines

15.3 for the bc thing right?

yeah, that was the way to this question

ok here it is, i still had it saved on my calculator

h(x)=-5.25x^2+25.25x+1.5

when x=4.9, h(x)=0

there, that ends this golf ball problem confusion

the answer is 4.9, and that's final

3 points MPR, 3 jkl, and points MP intersect on line j, point R never touches line j, which of the following is true about R.
what was the answer?

BC chord was like law of cosines or whatever...i got 15.3 also

i thought for the I,II,III problem on page 2 that that blah blah blah "must" be true...iono what was everyones answers. i dont remember what i put...

what was the question for 49, the second to last?

I got raped by that test, I skipped 3 and was on 46 when time was called

I put I and III I think.

what about the x^2-24x+c one where one root was double the other? was it A) 16?

and (x-c)(x-a)(x-b) what does that look like as a graph, was it the one that intersected the x-axis three times?

Corro, that's better then you think. I skipped 8 total :S

OMG Compared to Barrons this test was a joke. I breezed through it left 2 black on purpose b/c I didnt feel like working them. I dont want to jix it but I really think I scored like around a 800.

yea

let a and 2a be the roots

we have:

a^2-24a+c=4a^2-48a+c--->a=8, 2a=16

i did horrible on that test... i literally guessed on 20 of them when the lady said 5 mins left... so yeah... i hope the curve is as generous as it seems... i just wanna break 600-650...blah (i got 680 on the regular math)

one of the roots is not equal to 8. It's -8 and -16. That leads to -24x portion.

I'm pretty happy, didn't study for this test at all and I pretty much knew all of them.

i did horribly... i x-mas treed 20 questions... i soooooooo failed....

for the ball hit ground question, I graphed it and I'm pretty sure it was 6.0 seconds when it hit the ground (y value was 0 at that point).
I agree with coolsushicutter above about -8 (E)

coolsushicutter...it's 8 and 16

once again, let the root be a and 2a

we have:

a^2-24a+c=0 and (2a)^2-24(2a)+c=0

Set those two equal to each other:

a^2-24a+c=(2a)^2-24(2a)+c

Simplify:

3a^2-24a=0--->a=8

16 is the answer b/c 8 wasn't a choice

it was 8 and 16...lol... i got that 1!!!!! after my massacre i went...hmm... lemme attempt a random question... and i did that...lol... :)
