****official Math Ii Discussion ****

guys i remember the finger lakes question fairly well... it asked "if the person is in finger lakes, what is the probability that it's in Indiana" so it would be top left divided by top right

guguru are you sure the answer to the lake county one is .27? crosses fingers that was a lousy guess. lol.

ahhh i need to figure out more answers so i know whether or not i should cancel my scores...i have to get an 800 or else i'm canceling so does anyone else remember any questions??? any???

btw i think the lake questions is .32...hopefully, its the top left by top right, but i hope i didn't plug into my calculator wrong...that would suck

thats ridiculous no college is not going to reject you just bc you didnt get an 800. dont cancel your score just bc of that.

I'm pretty sure the Lake Question was 0.32.

Looked like it was too good to be true so I read it 4 or 5 times to make sure it wasn't a trick.

"Given that a resident lives in Lake county (Top right - total Lake County's in the US (including Indiana) what is the chance he lives in Indiana (top left))."

Top Left/Top Right gave 0.32

it is 0.32

lol...cookiemunster...well i have a 730 in my math reg sat ...which is bad since math is supposedly my strong point so i can't affort a low grade in sat 2 math

sh**, i didn't even get the lakecountry question.

and i put 0.01....:(

anyone remembers what the n^k question? whats the answer?

the n^k question was 30 if i remember correctly

yeah, right.........

i put 30 too

i think these kinds of questions are so confusing.........and i spent lots of time on them..............

what did people get for the last question?

was n^k the one with "this (i think it was 180?) divides n^k, what's n?"

yeah 30^2 = 900 which is 180*5

100^6 is also divisible by 180.

I'm not sure but did it say k<=5?

which answer is 9??

i don't remember it said so, but i did put 30 for the answer

I did so bad. I got stuck on the cylinder question for at least 2 minutes and was bothered by it for the rest of the test. What was the answer? I don't know whether I put it into the calculator wrong or I got the wrong formula but I couldn't come up with any answer that is close to the multiple choices. The one that said something about the graph being stretch vertically, move left 4 units and down 3 units, was the answer has an 2x in it?
How about the one with a sine function and which one is not true about it. I narrowed it down to the something about amplitude and period but not sure which one is correct.
And then there's the one with tan theta= something/k, what was the sine theta?
I don't know the answer to this one either. abc+ bc/fe. That might not be the exact equation but it's so confusing.
This is my last time taking the test so I hope my score will at least go up from last time.

DinaZhang

100^6 ain't divisible by 180,

well, anyways...

i got the answer right........ :)
