Why are people getting 30 for the 180/n^r question???

I thought it would be 180/6^2, since that works out to an integer number.

need800math: so are you saying taking IIC requires that one is a genius? That would leave out 99 percent of the population

sk12: its the reciprocal of your equation, n^r/180 not 180/n^r. the answer was 30 since 30^2/180, 30^3/180.... come out to be integers

Can anyone think of any other questions?

I'm so worried and getting really upset thinking about this test.

What about the question about the maximum height of something? I think I got 599.7 for that question. Anyone else?

Also, for the 1/4 or -1/4 question, I got -1/4 as well...

for the -1/4 and 1/4 problem, the answer was 1/4 for the last time

need800math: so are you saying taking IIC requires that one is a genius? That would leave out 99 percent of the population.

No, I am not saying that taking the math level 2 requires one to be a genius. But by your early comment, I knew that you were trying to get the point across that not everyone is really good at math, not necessarily at a genius level, though. You don't need to be a genius, but you should be pretty good at math and be able to solve most of those problems if you are going to even consider taking the test. If you can't, then go take history or something.

Why was it 1/4?

i just found out its too late to register for the december test. yesterday was my first attempt and i pretty much bombed it...

what was that problem

It's not too late, you have until November 7th to register for the December test.

it's not too late. Nov. 7th is deadline.

I forget the problem to the 1/4 or -1/4 answer. Anyone remember?

Did you get 599.7 for that maximum height question?

need800math: yea i agree but not everyone is good at taking the SAT's yet they still have to take it. It's the same with this test. Some people need a math subject test to get into a certain college and IC is not good enough for some colleges

sk12: i dunno i just remember putting 1/4 and using my ti 89. what were the other choices for the max height question?

was 599.7 the last answer choice? cause i think i chose E, but im not totally sure

what was that t question? was t=-.32? it involved some confusing equation solving and i dunno if i made dumb mistakes

what were the other answer choices?

-2.5something, .32, 2.5something, 3.something, and -.32

it was like "Find t in the equation 'quadratic equation' when two of its roots=blahblah"

What is the likelihood that 7 omits will = 800?

this test was easy

need800math...people can feel insecure u know, i'm sure many people on this forum thought it was fine and is just a little disconcerted. i'm sure many are great at math...maybe better than u
