*OFFICIAL MAY 3rd 2008 SAT RESULTS* POST SCORES ONLY

My first scores were 610 CR, 770 M, 670 W (11 essay), so my superscore would be my May scores...

I am kinda depressed. :(

M-590
CR-560
W-690

Composite-1840

Although this was my first time, I'm a sophmore, I still wish I could have done better. My Critical reading is off though, I must have messed up filling in the ovals, because it is usually my best section and I checked all my answers through CC, yet none of that will be validated until I get the score report. Oh well, at least my writing was okay, it is my worst section when I practise. lol.

^aw its okay! ur just a sophmore. u have LOADS of time to improve!!

i have a question.

uh here's my question that i posted elsewhere but does anyone have an answer

if i retake a 2310 would i look like a study freak. cuz i didn't study for the SAT this time and think i can do better if i actually study. but i also heard that if u take it a bunch of times u look like someone who studies alot and works really hard in skool

lets say i improved a lot and got a 2400. hypothetically.

i don't want to seem like a study freak because my grades suck. and it would be bad to look like a study freak with horrible grades.

grade inflati0n,
do yourself a favor and forget retaking the SAT.
you freaking got over 2300...
you should spend the time instead to raise your grades, if you can

but i cant since school is over in like a week

Thanks grade inflati0n, just kinda freaked out because how far from my goal I am, but as you said, I have planty of time to improve.

^ Good job on writing. :)

I'm a sophomore also (got a 2110 :p) and keeping in mind that this is a junior/senior test really helped me. So, remember that you did a LOT better than a LOT of people. The average junior score is like a 1600. My junior friends got scores in the 1600~1700 range.

Plus, as GI mentioned, you have plenty of time (hello? The whole summer!) to improve. And improving won't take you that long.

Have fun! :)
I recommend taking the SAT after the PSAT in junior year. Good luck (and don't forget to tell me about your new 2000+ score).

^Ha, thanks for the advice. I love talking to people who know what they are talking about. I go to school that has a group of rich kids, who do amazing and don't tell how they did it, and a much larger group of kids who think getting a 1700 makes you a genious. :)

Lol, you live in VA.
I know exactly what kind of kids you're talking about.

Btw, don't forget... an 1840 makes you God among them. :p

So true. Man, they complain about WV being full of "rednecks", but just look at northern VA.

On the SAT, this would be a grammatically incorrect sentence because 'they' states an ambiguous reference.

^ That was my first thought after I read that! O_O

You should focus on the SAT too (forget about everyone else). lol.
P.S. I'm far from Nerdville, so don't call me a nerd.

I noticed that right after I posted it, but the computer froze and I have to restart it. So, I kinda forgot...

The computer froze and you had to restart it.

Okay, I'm just nitpicking now.
Apologies.

Feed, dont' u live in DC? and Madden, yeah my school is the same. WHen I respond to my peeps and tell them I got a 1900 (with reluctance and dissapoint) they respond like WHATTT, you should be happy etc. sigh... its really sad how most of my school has such a low expectation environment. Can't blame them though, not everyone can work hard.... just saying.. or else we wouldn't be who we are.

I do... but I have been to a couple of VA schools... I know exactly what their attitude is like. Maybe I'm generalizing... but so's rmadden. :p

I was very disapointed with my scores.

I got a 1730, when I had been averaging nearly 2000 on the practice tests and got over an 180 on the PSAT this year.

CR-600 (the only one I'm good with, because it is my weak spot)
Math-560 (very disapointed with. I was expecting a 700, i got a 64 on the PSAT)
Writing-570. I was hoping for a 600 but.

i think you freaked out... or something. cuz i wasn't hitting 2000s on my practice tests. lol my super score of practice tests was a 2100 something haha.

Ha, jumpngo, I am glad there is someone out their(haha, just to annoy Feed) like me.

2006 PSAT 215
69 CR 80 M 66 W

2007 PSAT 219
68 CR 75 M 76 W

May 2008 SAT.. don't know.. we took the test on the 17th... scores are supposed to be up on the 30th. However, "College MatchMaker" pre-filled my CR and Math scores as 750 and 740? I don't know if this is random or if they are my actual scores.. guess I'll find out in a few days.
