<p>Yes, I spent a little time on the first question (primary purpose), and I believe the answer is that it wanted to explore the impact of World War II on Chinese American women. I didn't think it was a perfect answer, but it's the only one that made sense to me.</p>

<p>I also put the answer about the impact of WWII on the Chinese women.</p>
