was the answer to the sc discrimination or obscure

i disagree, they mostly talked about the jobs they held. they didn't go into any emotional realms or how it affected their family. it seemed strictly about jobs. no?

i put the impact of WWII on Chinese women. The other choices just didn't fit

sibsagar12:

Yes, I remember that question. It wasn't either of the options that you have below. I believe I put something along the lines of presenting/supporting a common belief.

"rosh: do u remember the question about the quote regarding the indians. it was in the first passage. the choices were like:
present opposing view points
discredit a widely held belief"

they said chinese women were social workers, did fundraising, worked in businesses, worked in redcross,

you could say the impact of the war on them, but why not their different jobs? they both seem fitting

I think it was unprofessional for them to put that yawning essay on there. I started yawning the minute i saw the word "yawn" and it kinda messed up my train of thought. Then other people started yawning and, needless to say, it was amusing to view. (:

elliott34,

It couldn't be jobs because the choice mentioned women in general, and not specifically Chinese American women. There could have been also another problem with the choice, but I don't recall the exact words of the choice right now.

ahhh!!! you're right, they only said women. O:ASIHDF:OIHGIUPFHRWOIGHROGHOIRHGIOHRGOIWHORIENL

LMAO kai!! lol. The yawning one was beautiful! I didn't yawn though. it was also an easy passage. :) Everything they said was accurate. lol. I'm surprised I with-held my yawn.

godot i'm pretty sue your answer is wrong for the chinese american one. the essay's point was how chinese americans furthered womens rights as stated in the last sentence of the first paragraph - that they contributed to the womens rights movement. it was d...i think. maybe c. cant remember. ****ED I MISSED ONE ON MATH >_<

me too....stupid direct proportion
The answer to that was 1/y^2 btw

haha crosscurrent, i missed the octagon one. i put eight...i just chopped it in half four times. i'm a moron. oh well.

umm crosscurrent, are you sure?
i've seen about 15 people on here get y^2 and nobody with a different answer...

edit: I agree with Chone, it was more about Chinese American women and the feminist movement

I shall work it out then

x=1/y
x^2 = 1/y^2
1/X^2= y^2
But this is still INVERSELY proportional
so to make directly proportional we take reciprocal of y^2 hence
Answer: 1/y^2

i think its 1/y^2 also....

For the chinese women one, I really don't think it's the impact of WWII, or wahtever. I put something on feminism because at the end of the first paragraph it mentioned something about furthering women's rights.

i cant even remember what that qestion was about, just that it was easy and i got it right.

no
x and y are inversely proportional
x and 1/y are directly proportional
therefore by plugging in 1/y the resulting equation is already directly proportional

why are you giving the answers to the people who take it on Sunday?

there's a different test for people who take it on Sunday

either that or we're total *******s
