<p>So as of today, February 16, 2012, the new MCAT 2015 has been named official and it will start being administered in 2015. </p>
<p>MCAT 2015 additions:</p>
<p>*A new "Social and Behavioral Sciences" section. It will consist of 65 questions and we will be given 95 minutes to complete. </p>
<p>MCAT 2015 (Current section changes)</p>
<p>*Verbal reasoning sections will be changed to contain ethics and philosophy, cross-cultural studies, and population health passages INSTEAD of technology, science and such.</p>
<p>MCAT 2015 (Current section deletion) </p>
<p>*The Writing portion of the test will be removed from the test! They proved that writing does not determine a applicants chances anyways so they just removed it! Awesome!</p>
<p>***The MCAT will now be 6 hours long instead of the current testing time of 4 hours and 30 mins. </p>

<p>The abbreviations found in parentheses indicate the course(s) in which undergraduate students at many colleges and universities learn about the topics and associated subtopics. The course abbreviations are:</p>
<p>PSY = one semester of introductory psychology
SOC = one semester of introductory sociology
BIO = two-semester sequence of introductory biology</p>
<p>So I’m guessing that the topics on this section are learned in 1 semester of into psychology, sociology, and 2 full semesters of biology. The biology is required cause of topics pertaining to the systems of the body that stimulate psychological states.</p>
