*General Comments: Kinda sad. I looked at the admission requirements for the Faculty of Science for the past 3 or so and I thought my numbers were okay. But oh well. At least I got into my second choice faculty (Agric. and Enviro. Sciences). But the faculty of Science seems to offer more fields of study. Does anyone know if it's hard to switch faculties once i'm at McGill? *

its not so hard. just make sure you do well yoour first year

Can anyone figure out why Izabelle was rejected from science? All her stats exceed the minima from what I read on McGill's website.

Simple; there were X number of people with better numbers than here; where X equals the numbers of slots available for Americans.

This is an over simplification, whoever, one must realize two things. It is harder for Americans to get into McGill, and the numbers on the website are minimums for them to even look at your application. Like in anything, meeting or barely exceeding minimums doesn't mean success.

[ *]General Comments: I'm so stoked right now!!! I was so nervous for the past week! Pending final results... what does that mean? Getting straight A's? I guess I'll have to wait for my letter to come to see what it means...

Oh my decision is still pending for Arts and Sciences... sigh I want to know soon!

It is great to see some of the long term posters get accepted. Congratulations on a reward for all your hard work in high school--those long study nights paid off.

Everyone gets "accepted pending final results". And you will never really find out what that means--it is a mystery of life. Generally, you dont need straight A's--just be sure to graduate and keep a semblance of high quality work. It has always been my experience that smart hard working students continue to do so even after college acceptance. It is just in your nature.

Way to go!!

Actually, "pending final results" just means you need to complete and get whichever diploma (high school, or cegep, usually) you're working on. Meaning don't drop out now or fail all (or most of) your classes. If you already had your diploma, the acceptance would be unconditional.
