***Official McGill Class of 2019 Decisions***

Were you guys notified by email? Or did it require constantly checking Minerva

@OnlyYesterday‌ check Minerva. I haven’t got an official email from them yet, but when I logged on to Minerva around 3pm I had my decision

Did anyone hear back about the major entrance scholarship yet?

@andros12‌ Not yet! I’m waiting as well!

my school hasn’t sent in my midyear grades yet but will anyone be willing to chance me cuz i’m really nervous.

SAT: 2300, 800 math, 770 writing, 730 CR
ACT: 35
SAT II: Math2: 800 Physics: 760
GPA: i have a 5.3/6 (my school is weird)
class rank: NA
Senior courses: AP AB calc, AP Bio, Honors English, AP Chemistry, AP Mandarin Chinese, AP Psychology

additional notes:
my gpa is weird but i think it would be somewhere around 3.4-3.5. i made the dire mistake of taking the most difficult course load over my high school years and i paid for it in my unweighted gpa. One more thing i want to say is that my high school is a top 5 high school in Massachusetts (which is the best state for education) and according to naviance, the people who get into McGill from my school have my gpa with an easier courseload, so dont worry about that. My only concern is that im slacking a bit this year and although most of my grades are ok, i got a D on my first term in chemistry. I wonder if that makes a huge difference, but hopefully my test scores make up for it.

While your SAT/ACT scores are way above the minimum the D in Chemistry could result in a rejection especially if you are applying to the Faculty of Science. At McGill one factor does not “make up” for others. All minima must be met.

what are the minimum requirements exactly?

Advice: If you want to get into McGill just enjoy high school, take not too hard classes, and do well on ur standarized tests. I just used it as a safety but Montreal is awesome and its really cheap so I’m seriously considering it. Good luck to everyone else!

Hi everyone! Congrats to those who have been accepted. They recieved my 1st semester grades on Feb. 10. My decision status changed this morning from “further review required” to “reviewed-decision pending”
