Figuring that admission decisions are being rolled out, plus the lack of an official acceptance thread, I decided to create this thread! So start posting!

Received my acceptance today. Got into both faculties I applied to - Management and Arts!

Can't wait to explore Montreal in the fall, provided I 'maintain my current level of academic achievement'.

I’m from Pakistan, so I applied under the GCE A-level tab. I scored 5As and 4As in 9 GCE O-level subjects, all in one sitting. I had 3Bs and 1A in my internal exams during my first year of A-levels. I am predicted 3As and 1A*.

I am SO EXCITED! I’ve also applied to Grinnell and Bowdoin in the US but McgGill is (tentatively) my first choice.

Decisions can be posted anytime till May 10th or May 27th, depending on the location you applied from. Don’t know whether I prefer this mode of sending out decisions, compared to every applicant knowing their fate on one single day. Anyway, just relax!

I got accepted to the Faculty of Arts and I’m very excited! McGill is my first choice but I don’t know if I can afford it. I’m a US Student and it would cost me ~$31,000 to attend and cost of living in general is more expensive up there so even though I’m very proud that I was accepted, I’m not sure I’ll be attending coming next fall.

@MichiganMama- I was stuck on “Further Reviewed Required” for a while but as soon as I got my Mid-Year reports, I sent a .pdf copy to them via Minerva. The next day, I checked Minerva in passing the next day and much to my surprise, the decision was already posted and it wasn’t until later in the day that I got an email saying that the decision had been made (not really seamless timing). Also, don’t expect anything in the mail. Your letter of decision gets posted to Minerva in your status checker.

@Catria- I applied to UAlbany, U. of Rochester, SUNY Buffalo, Binghamton U, and McGill. So far I’ve gotten into Albany, Binghamton and McGill but I expect to get into Buffalo and Rochester as well. Albany gave me a very nice offer: $4,300 per year and admission to their honors college w/o an application. I expect Buffalo to give something similar. Binghamton doesn’t give any money for freshmen and Rochester won’t be able to give me enough to make it affordable. So its Albany at $15,500, Binghamton at $20,000 and McGill at $31,000 so thats a $15,000 difference :/

I am a US student, applied in October, and my Minerva has said “Further Review Required” for what has felt like eternity. My midyear reports were only just released, and we had a snow-day today, so I couldn’t get mine from the office! I keep checking Minerva even though I know it won’t change until I upload, but this wait is agonizing. I absolutely love the school and Montreal, and it is my top choice, tied with University of Michigan. @buffaloed, I hope what happened to you when uploading happens to me as well! Congratulations!

Hey guys congratulations to who got accepted.

My application went from Ready for review to further review required a few days ago. I had to upload my IB scores transcript (already took the exams, currently taking a gap year). I uploaded them on the 7th, and my Minerva says “received on the 7th of Feb” in the box close to my IB scores. However my status still indicates further review required eventhoug I uploaded all the documents they asked. Is it normal?

I am an international student (from france) and applied to the faculty of arts.

Got accepted a week ago! Bachelor of Science (1st choice) and Bachelor of Arts & Science (2nd Choice). I am from British Columbia and I have never been to Montreal, but I have family in the area. I also applied for a Major Scholarship…does anyone know when the results for those come out?
