It hasn’t been announced yet. It will most likely be announced this week, and decisions will be released around a week later. I am really tired of that question being asked over and over. No one knows yet!

by the way, just for curiosity’s sake but lets include whether we’re male/female. i find it very comforting to know that women have double the acceptance rate of men :)

Hey guys, I might sound scenile in saying this, but why do y’all want to go to MIT? Is it because you love math and science? You love the diversity of the student body at MIT? You love the location? A combination??? What I am trying to get at is if MIT is in fact the right school for me. I am a slacker, but are all of you?

Sorry for the directness of my many questions.

I’ve had the fortune to go to MIT. I love the buildings there, the cool quirky things they have, the lore behind it all, the hacks, the type of students. One of their mottos is work hard, play hard, which I agree with. They’re nerdy but they like partying, they have a million sports teams, the student body just sounds like a perfect match for me, being cooperative, always helping, learning together, working together. It’s in Boston! Oh yea, and they have great professors and great education :P

@Twazie: They laugh at nerdy jokes, haha. I think that’s really the cornerstone of my love for MIT. When I’m going through a really tough week/month/semester in one/two/all of my classes, I tend to get my mind so wrapped around the material I’m learning that almost everything I hear people say is turned into some math or science joke in my mind. People I can share them with are few and far between at my high school, but visiting MIT convinced me that I’d have a pretty good time there, in that regard :P

Of course there’s a lot of other stuff, but that’s my favorite, haha.
