actually there is a office for the math building. Just go upstairs and you’ll find it.

thx dainese and holkey for ur help. they told me to go to building 61 room 2505 and take a copy of my transcript. yh ik it doesnt make sense if i passed the test but they want to see that i took geometry at least 2 semesters. which is kinda stupid cuz that was my freshman yr math class.

to be considered full time student i would need at least 12 units right? i dont wanna take too many classes my first semester lol

hey “that”, whats your schedule look like so far? I only have eng. composition honors so far!

I just noticed I was never asked to send in my HS transcript from the time i applied to orientation or anything like that. Is it only for some students? I’m already registered for classes and fees are paid so I guess everything’s ok?

–
And I went to the ctc bookstore, the prices are the same as I found on ebay/chegg was a bit expensive. Are there any other sites beside amazon that are cheaper?

I’ve had a good experience with half.com

holkey well right now im on the waitlist for us history and eng 68 and if i get a ride over to mt sac later today i might be in waitin list for trig.

have u guys paid all of your fees? and do u know if we can pay later?

thanks holkey

@thatone - yup, 12 is full time during the semester and 4 units is full time during the intersessions. and 12 is only about 3 classes, so if you feel you can handle more, take more. no matter what, you can always drop and get a refund. but if u take too little…then ur stuck with that much. 4 classes has been the avg for most students.

@nifloe - i wasnt asked for a hs transcript either, i believe its only some. if they dont ask for it, then no wrries everything should be okay.

and as for books…jet already got u with half, you can also try craigslist. if you are renting chegg is good, but chegg isnt the best for buying. the cheapest books ive found were from students posting their books for sale around campus. you can negotiate prices with them since theyre students :)

@thatone If you registered for any classes after the first drop date and haven’t yet paid, you have until tomorrow. That’s the second class drop date for non-payment

ok tomorrow is last day but if im still waitlisted what am i supposed to do?
and other fees whens the last day for those do u know?

where can i pay for the current classes i’ve enrolled in?

nvm found it

if ur waitlisted you dont have to pay
and you can pay online on your myportal
other fees should be paid asap.
parking permit is needed by the 3rd week of the semester and the 2nd week of the intersession. the student activities fee is optional but it supports the student body. i forgot the rest lol :(

@dainese, jetlogic

yup by ebay I meant half.com, amazon has some decent deals too. The CTC store pretty much matches the same price for my books as online prices

anyone have at lease 12 units? im having alot of trouble getting classes, i can’t even get a math, english or reading class :(

I got 18 units this round,
Math 180
Microeconomics
English 1C
Astr 5
Astr 5L
Mus 13

guys…a quick question…should I drop READ 90 to take “college algebra” …BUT my MAJOR IS : ENGINEERING…which is the OTHER SIDE of the bracket…math 61, 150, 160, 180

if you dont need it, i dont think you should take it. try to get something else that applies to either your GEs or major pre-reqs

Can u tell me what is the prereq for bioengineering… I’m having a hard time understanding the info in assist org. And I’m not qualify to ask Linda yet… If you could … I really appreciate it :)

Paperback books are just fine right? I mean there the same except the covers are paper right lol? They are still binded together?

Same with trade cloth, trade paper, etc all these are worth saving money?

Chegg has some good deals for renting books so If i order Friday should I expect them by next week? Dainese you said professors don’t mind if you don’t have the books on the first couple of days I wanted to make sure of this.
