No jobs or obligations. Still scared though D:… but I really can’t stand Terreri, so I’ll go for it or cram math 180 in the summer. Thanks a bunch guys.

why do you call it math 180? its called calculus

Lol! haha… Vltord.is out to strike some more nerves.

@vtlord, you’ll get used to the lingo soon enough haha

@vtlord By that logic, we could Math call 140, 180, 181, and 280 calculus.

i googled math 180 and a site said it was a calculus class.

sorry if im striking a nerve im just a newbie

Does anyone know if the honors thing at Mt sac is only available to full time students? or can part time students participate as well?

part time can do it as well. i dont see why not.

Cool, I’ll make sure to verify tomorrow.

How are things at SC?

better than ever haha

in short, ive got 1 semester left, a strong GPA, confident about grad school and to top it all off im going to shanghai this summer to paddle for the ICDBF US collegiate team (nearly all expenses paid)

ICDBF = international collegiate dragon boat federation

Great, dude! A mt. Sac success story! What’s your major?

majoring in psych, ill be going into a masters program focusing on counseling/advising haha :)

it wasnt my original intention but pre-med proved to be way too much for me. so always have a plan b

Hi, I’m a high school student at the moment and I was wondering about fall admissions at MT. SAC. I’m currently taking AP Stats, AP Calc AB, AP Chinese, AP Art History, AP Econ, and AP Rhetoric and I took AP Bio last year. My cumulative GPA is about 4.00 weighted, my junior year gpa was 3.7 weighted and my senior year gpa is 4.5 weighted.

Will my AP credits be able to transfer over to Mt Sac? Do I still have to take placement tests?
And is there a deadline for the application to the honors program? Is it hard to get in??

Thank you to anybody who can help me :)

no deadline to apply to honors, just do it asap so you can get honors classes for your first fall semester.

AP credits will transfer, but you will have to go to the student offices to do so.
I believe some AP scores will place you out of placement tests but am not completely sure…id suggest going to the student center to ask.

just curious, is there a reason why you are going to mtsac?
because your GPA is pretty strong…lol

I would wager money or desire to go to a good uni. At the freshman entry level, 4.0 weighted probably won’t get you int Berk or LA and senior GPA doesn’t count for them.

jeez…thats rough…

are all community colleges equal when transferring to a UC? i want to go to mt sac because they have the summer bridge program( allows you to take a few classes in the summer and help high school students transition in to the college atmosphere) but my parents says that pcc has a better reputation than mt sac. deep down inside i believe that they think that mt sac is a hispanic dominated college bringing about the stereotype that they dont study hard and are a bunch of slack offs.
