Official National Merit Semifinalist Qualifying Score Thread for the Class of 2013

WOO I got notified today (in TX). 225, so not very helpful for purposes of the cutoff, but yeah.

Anxiously awaiting Nevada cutoff

Thanks descartez - he was the highest in his school this year, and last year our school had two NMF (one going to Notre Dame and the other U of Chicago). I’m not sure who is more anxious, him or me!

If we find anything out at the academic awards tonight on NMSF, I’ll post it.

My daughter scored 216 in Texas and was notified today that she is a semifinalists!!

Thanks TXmom3, great to hear another confirmation of 216! My D went to her GC today to ask and was told they don’t get that info til mid-Sept. D told her she was pretty sure other schools got them this week and GC seemed confused but said she would follow-up and let her know something tomorrow… Feel like we can’t really celebrate til D gets the official word…!

Internetgirl6191…WHERE in Texas? In Texas and still waiting…

Omg so 217 in tx works!!!

Heard that 207 doesn’t make it in Nevada.

So NV becomes the first state not to go down by at least two points.

Damond - where did you hear this??

School counselor told my son he wasnt on list with a 207 :(

Suprised and bummed about NV - my son has a 206. Haven’t heard anything from our principal. I really thought it would be lower this year!

Made it with a 221 in VA (per the GC). I’m sure it’s lower, but we won’t know til the public schools start next week.

Squidge: I’m so happy for your family! I would have hated to have given you and your D false hope all these months. Yay Texas!

@jerry
Same, very bummed. If I were you I would get a confirmation. My son said his counselor was new but I’m fairly confident Nevada is 208+

clapuma, Thanks a lot for your predictions that gave many of us on CC hope. What a relief, DS is waiting with 218 for an official word in Texas. Congrats to all who qualified.

Connecticut semi finalist in with a 222

Wohoo! I guess, Perazzi son makes it in TX with a 219. Thanks clapuma for all your help.

Congrats Perazzi! Thanks everybody for all the great info! This forum rocks!!

IL cutoff info, anyone? My counselor was out today:( I emailed but am still waiting for the reply.
