Official National Merit Semifinalist Qualifying Score Thread for the Class of 2013

My method is not so precise that it should cast doubt on any NMSF’s reported score.

I need CA to go down a lot, sigh son got a 217. Sigh we can dream! But I doubt it.

We too are hoping for a 217 in WA.

Was just told that she made it, but didnt tell her the cutoff score.

Thank you Nutmeggermom and Descartesz. That means DC is <=225.

I’m a semifinalist from Arkansas with a 205.

Don’t give up on a 217 in California just yet. We’ve already seen a four-point drop this year and California was at 217 just a few years ago. Although the state-level data suggested a moderate drop, I’ve been surprised at how much some of the states have dropped - like Maryland.

What does the application look like to go from NMSF to finalist ? Is it a lot of work/essays? Thanks in advance!

Collegedad, we were sworn to secrecy but I can verify that the previous post was accurate for TN. S is in with a 214. WAHOOO!
