Does anyone know how Oregon’s cutoff was changed from <=213 to exactly 213? I didn’t see anyone on this thread say that 212 didn’t make it, and I also understand that all the other cutoff lists posted on the web are based on this thread. So is there any confirmation that 212 didn’t make it?

Has anyone from Arizona heard anything. Our daughter is eligible for NMSF (score is 221 in AZ), but she hasn’t heard anything from the school.

internetgirl - 216 should get you in from texas.

Yes, 216 is good! D was already notified more than a week ago. I just want to see names in print!!!

Mascara, we are in WA, at a public school and D was notified on 9/5 (first day of school)
They should give you the letter with the codes for online submission. Now is the time to make sure you get the information - however you can. GC should have informed you already, but now there is no reason not to have the info.

Houston Chronicle stopped publishing them lately and if they do, it is in the regional version that comes on Thursdays. I don’t believe I saw them at all last year. The local papers that come out on Tuesdays and wednesdays publish them and I remember having to wait a week for them.

Just spoke with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and my daughter is listed as an international (London, UK) semi-finalist with 222! Delighted and relieved. Now I have to chase the school who claim that they have no information.

A huge thank you to this thread and to all who shared information.

Congrats expatlondon!!

In Kansas, this year’s cutoff is 212. My daughter had a bad testing day and just missed it, with a 211. However, when she took the PSAT a year earlier – as a Sophomore – she scored a 219, well above the cutoff for that year. So frustrating that she “qualified too soon.” Sigh. Anyone else in this situation?

anyone have a link to the press-released Maryland semifinalists yet?

Joco, oh no!! I feel for you … my score went down three points from sophomore to junior year and I was biting my nails about making the cutoff. but luckily, Maryland’s cutoff went down too. :)

I know a girl who had the same situation although statistically it should not happen but everyone has a bad day. Your daughter will probably have a super SAT score which is what really counts! I have a Sophomore who scored a 211 last year and our school district will not allow her to take it this year as they are forcing all sophomores to take the ACT Plan which seems to be a total waste of time. Anyhow, we are hoping the jump from Freshman year to Junior will bode well for her. Florida was 214 and dropped to 211 this year.

Anyone have a link to California semifinalist yet?

If you go to this link and click on “all of NewYork” you can see the whole state, but they’ve reformatted it, not in the original document:
